If it's away I would like Southampton - a nice trip to the South coast in August. If it's home it would be Liverpool so that a certain Northern Ireland gentleman can have a torrid afternoon to start off his "dream move".
Stan, I just don't want to see Man City as a Club. Even though they have the cash and the PL title I still don't regard them as "The Big 4". They don't deserve it,
really? Don't Man U, Chelsea, buy it too? Surely it's good to break the "big 4" monopoly and stretch it to the big 5 maybe 6? I know what you mean in a way, our teams can never compete on a level playing field with them that's for sure.
Stan, I would rather QPR break in the Big 4 than Man City. I don't know why, but I just think it is too false.
NB - Man U have the small matter of having being built up over 20 years with a following of 75000 per match
Yep - but mismanaged for years and deserve Sweet FA for that. You may not like it, but Arsenal deserve to win things more than Man C.
tough is an understatement, Cant help feeling that these fixtures are rigged, We are away for our first match again ....this is going to be a difficult season with most of the hard games away in the second half of the season, We have a new manager and our finishing is not good so i hope we can pile on the points early and we get 3-4 players in that can score goals or we will struggle big time, Nobody knows how laudrup will do but he had better get it right from the off.....chelsea,man city, man utd and fulham the last 4 games is bad news, someone dont like us being in the premiership giving us the hardest end of season games...YET AGAIN....
Was curious to see how fixtures are decided and came across this, an interesting read http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/paulfletcher/2009/06/secrets_of_the_fixture_compute.html
today its sky who call the shots,....... Its a very complicated thing to do but we seem to draw the short straw when it comes to end of season fixtures...
Of course sky calls the shots, they pay billions into the game to do so. But they don't get everything they want, and the clubs do have an input into the fixtures as well. To be honest I don't think it matters to much as we got to play every team twice.
