He is/was also a very good footballer and would not look out of place at DM or even CM.

You have nobody who can cross a ball to him, stick to kicking it to the fast lads it's worked ok for the last season and a half

VVD is good at passing as well as being able to carry the ball into midfield.

As MITO mentions, the guy is a beast in the air which is one of our weak points.

Imo vvd has been phoning it in for 4 months. When we played them he never tried just whacked it out.

Just watch. Saints fans will be raging within 2 weeks despite the huge huge fee

Not really, they haven't missed him much this season and he was toxic in the dressing room.
I see Mane has reverted to his Southampton form, 2 or 3 great games occasionally but missing for the rest. At least you had your Mane season to go with your Suarez season and so far Salah season :emoticon-0100-smile

Yep, but with (I think) 14 other scorers it doesn't affect us too much :emoticon-0100-smile

Well yes, it has actually. If we were so dependant on one man scoring we would be well off 2nd place by now <ok>

This season there is little option it seems, unless City have a drastic collapse.
What position would Liverpool define themselves by?

So you can't admit your failure so you bury your head in the sand and talk up second? No wonders it's 5 years and counting.

If we come 2nd to this City side and "fail" then yes, I can admit that.
What do you see as success/failure for Liverpool ?

Now you mention it that's a big advantage, it usually shows a team is creating chances in lots of different ways. How many different scorers have utd had in the league compared to the other contenders?

Really no idea, just know that half way through the season it's a healthy return from the squad as a whole.

    We've had thirteen different scorers...

    ...and only 3pts behind you!
