Dream ticket - Overmars and Ten Hag. Christ, can you imagine?! That would blow people's minds.

Was just checking it out after the news that Overmars might be interested. Ten Hag is way out, but dropped to 33/1 with Hill's.

Something than numpty Bruce never noticed but schar feddy and Clark all have a goal in them

Clarke's marking and concentration have gone to **** this year mate. Will a new manager fix this? I have my doubts.

He was fine before and he gives his all.. He fell on his knees on Sunday at the final whistle.

Lacelles can go he's our worst cb.

We could do with Clark a feddy around imo.

I suspect he cried yesterday.

I'm seeing fans still being unpleasant.. No need.

This was made person day 1 and Bruce went up against them..

It was fans vs bruce.. He should've left after finishing 12th and crowed like the fans are now
No. He should have left after day 1.

Those thanking him for keeping us up for 2 seasons or saying he did a good job by keeping us up for 2 seasons seriously need to look at what they’re saying. He had a solid defensive but boring football team who achieved mid table 2 seasons running. Then spent £96M net and kept us up late on in 2 seasons leaving us with a 10 game non winning streak and a team with no tactics, no formation, no football nouse and red hot certainties for relegation unless something changed.

Personal abuse unacceptable but by a bunch of keyboard warriors forming a small percentage of our fan base just like every Club ever.

He was out of his depth from the start, he lied, he wasn’t a fan and bigger up the opposition all the time whilst undermining Newcastle all the time.

No, I’m not sorry he’s gone, you may have guessed.

I disagree.

Why leave day 1? That's ridiculous

Didn't the fans say he'd get us relegated both of the seasons he kept us up? Yes

That means he exceeded their expectation for 2 full seasons.

They just kept moving the goalposts.

If we won badly it wasn't about results and we were lucky and boring and if we lost the results weren't good enough.

Under rafa the fans said 17th was the aim under Bruce 12th wasn't good enough

The rest of your argument wasn't even relevant to my post and never disputed. Just another can of worms.

Its just the same old double standards. It never changes. We've had this with every manager other than Rafa. Despite results being not better, they liked him so he gets a free pass. I think Hughton was the only other (KK apart of course). Money/transfers is manipulated to suit. Its pointless having a discussion about it because they are too entrenched in a position.

Bruce really burst the whole Rafa bubble they created - no further comment necessary. At the end of season 2, they were largely at the same points results wise. Rafa did a solid job. Some things were good, some things were bad. I think overall he did better than Bruce because at least we had an identity, however dour. I think that is Bruces biggest failing. Its harsh judging Bruce not even halfway through a season of course but I think this time he wasn't turning it round - it just felt different. It shouldn't be forgotten either, for his entire reign he had the uncertainty of a takeover hovering, disputes with the PL etc. You can't ignore that factor.

The day 1 stuff exposes it all for what it is. Its a hatred and lack of acceptance before a ball is kicked. I never wanted him and have never rated him as a manager. He is a typical Ashley appointment. However every manager I treat the same and don't buy into this hero worship ****e. I gave Bruce a chance and he wasn't very good. Certainly not good enough for where we are now ownership wise. Goodbye and good luck, on we go.

Spot on mate I'm pleased there's a few others out there that can see what's been going on.

It takes a certain type of mental capacity to see past an emotional agenda and you've clearly been able to bypass it much like myself.

Bruce was a poor manager that had the audacity to stick up for himself vs an angry mob.

He deserves some credit for the 1st two seasons and he deserved to be sacked for taking the club backwards despite having a good amount of money.

That's it for me the bare facts.
