The next manager currently has no club and can come in straight away. The delay has been caused as they didn't see the point in appointing Jones for a matter of 2 - 3 days. All 3 areas of new ownership currently have representation in the North East at the moment and again that was a cause of delay from last week.
****ing worryingly I have also heard that Charnley is being kept on for 12 months. Sigh!
I guess it must be a contractual handover clause maybe or a notice period? Who knows.
Even though we don’t want him I guess sit might make sense short term!

He's the only person of position that knows the inner workings of the club. He's short term only. Not part of the long term plans. Never heard 12 months mentioned. Hears both him and Bruce were both told they were not part of the long term plans.
I also heard that Bruce was considered for an ambassadorial role as a carrot to accept severance.
Given he is a nufc fan I guess that also makes sense.
It will be done in a friendly nice way as possible - mutual consent, change of role, retirement - whatever.

Interviews were held today with the 3 candidates. It's one of Howe, Fonsecca and Favre.
I heard Lampard was sounded out also.
