George Caulkin has tweeted that he doesn’t expect Bruce to be sacked today, which is highly disappointing.

Not sure this takeover will fully sink in until he’s been sent packing

I have a mate who is still adamant it will fall through and the PL will 'cancel it'.

Give over, man, that's not even legally possible. The club IS sold. They can't now revoke things. The worst they can do is change the O&D test to make it mandatory on an annual basis and seek to revoke Saudi access in the Summer. But it's VERY unlikely, because the moves they'd need to make to ensure that happens would also see Mansour's UAE involvement revoked at City. Which won't happen. It would also shut the door on sales of Arsenal/Spurs, so realistically neither of those clubs can afford for the Middle East door to be slammed shut.

Bruce will have asked the players to say they love him no doubt.

Bruce's a right arse licker and not afraid to use excuses.

I hope they see past that

To be fair the players have regularly shown him a lot of love. They all seem to like him. Liking him is one thing however, respecting him as a manager (which directly impacts their careers) is another thing. As Wilson's comments in the summer showed, they don't rate him that highly and think he's out of touch. They were over the moon Jones came in and modernised training.

There is no danger of Bruce remaining for any period of time in my mind. These owners won't dick about. They have history to guide them too, Man C made this mistake giving Hughes time. It was trickier for them because Hughes was only months into the job, but it was a mistake. He finished 10th then, then I think he was 6th and sliding after a load of investment. As soon as they got Mancini they really kickstarted.
