Yes... I think our level of coaching has been so bad we'd see a dramatic improvement within a few months even without new players
I thy we are cutting it very fine having 2 months of decent coaching. It might be too late after that if these knackers take too long to understand new coaching methods.

Apparently we're making 1 last approach for Rafa and want to guage his interest before we move on to other targets. Staveley seems to think last time they spoke to his reps there was an inkling that there could be interest.
Really????

<laugh><laugh>

We were looking at Rangnick to be the manager not DOF, Overmars coming in would be reliant on Ten Hag also joining, as it stands Ten Hag isn't interested.

If we sign Owen Brown, I would say the chance of Rafa is high.

We might not end up with a DOF at all though.

Except the owners have already made comments about appointing sporting directors/DOF. They simply said they want to take their time, get it right, and ensure the infrastructure work is done to make use of their expertise.

It could get worse before it gets better., but I personally think we'd see improvement almost immediately.

Bruce etc being so bad that I think anyone even close to good coming in simply couldn't fail to improve us

To be fair in his last half season with Rondon, Perez and Almiron we weren’t a bad watch at all and did quite well.

Yes and we also suffered the ****test and most boring start to the season ever. The overall picture is clear with Rafa throughout his career. Boring defensive but effective football. No point sugar coating it looking at short spells in his career.

He played attacking football at Chelsea, Napoli, Real Madrid and at Liverpool once he assembled his team.

Eurgh. Just ****ing move on. The whole thing would cost more than Ten Hag and Overmars.

I agree, we need to change the culture of the club. More possession based approach as opposed to counter attacking. As much as it pains me to say it, Rafa would be a step back.
