I hope we get someone exciting in. Jim White reckons it'll be a stop gap to the Summer - makes no sense to me, that, we're only 8 games in, and I can't see the players raising their game for someone like Hodgson or Allardyce.

The likes of Graves think the opposite, that they want to get someone in for at least the first phase of the project. Fonseca fits that profile, as does Favre and others.

Somewhere in the middle is the likes of Howe and Lampard, who would be both risky and underwhelming.

If it's Fonseca does that give any indication as to a DoF or Sporting Director....not sure who he's worked with/under before. Fonseca would be immense like!

I don't think their going to appoint one at the moment with McParland and Brown being in situ already. Think they'll do the role in the mean time and take some time to decide who to go with in due course.

Fonseca at 2/5 now, looks like we're closing in.

Considering the rumours of Gerrard, Lampard etc, Fonseca would be a massive catch.

There's a lad on Twitter, Portuguese expert and has a Twitter verification tick, says it's today. Elsewhere suggesting he'll then be at the match Saturday.

2 weeks ago we were staring into the abyss. Now fans are discussing whether they'd accept Mourinho or whether Dembele is a risk.

All our owners have actually done so far is sack Bruce. I'll see what happens now, after the last 14 years I'll accept almost anything though.

I agree but Mourinho is not the man for a relegation dog fight,he's a cheque book manager and he will have to wait till next summer!
