Martinez is actually a poor manager imo... Better than Bruce though.

I think these names are all realistic though based on where the club actually is.

Very good at Wigan and Swansea, reasonable at Everton (started off very well but faded a bit), and very good for Belgium. Yeah you could say with those players anyone can do well at Belgium, but he's managed the transition of them into a major football force.

I do like Howe, but don't see him as an option.

I would definitely take Howe, the whole club needs clarification of what's happening with Bruce, the players and manager cant be allowed to hide behind the uncertainty

I honestly don't believe that anyone would do as badly as Bruce has this season so far (Even Bruce when he 1st joined!). Bearing that in mind and with a new manager boost and a promising Jan window, I don't think it matters who comes in.

Anyone will be better than where we are at the moment so get the change done to sweep out the final remnants of the Ashley Era.

Agree, and Howe could bring in that initial boost that would keep us safe, but I don't see him as a long term option, hence my reticence.

Would he come in just on a contract to the end of season?

Possibly not but I would not be adverse to offering him a deal until the end of next season initially to see how he does with an option to extend if it's going well. That gives him the incentive to build a squad and gives the club an opportunity to bring in the type of players that would get us into contention with Everton / Villa / Leicester.

With that place cemented then we can look to upgrade both manager and playing staff as required to challenge for Europe

Howe apparently wouldn’t want to move from the South Coast long term but is currently out of work, so a short term deal could work for both parties.

Im more concerned that there just isn’t anything happening. Looks more Venky than Mansour right now.

Listen to this bloke and compare it to the ramblings of Steve Bruce.

He actually has a brain

Get him in.

You hated him and loved Bruce a few months ago <laugh>

I never loved bruce I just knew he'd be replaced with wilder.

How many times did I tell you mate.

The situation is very different now.

You can forget simeone and Mbappe that kind of stuffs a good 3 to 5 years away at best

I wasn't keen on Howe but I've changed my mind

I promise to chill the **** out….the second Bruce is gone!

We've got rid of Ashley and become the richest club in the galaxy.

Chill now! our future is going to involve big names big players and special moments.

All we've got to do is stay alive
