It's insane. I can only put it down to a combination of pigheadedness and self preservation on the part of certain board members, as they renewed his contract in the summer, when anyone with half a business and footballing brain would've ended his contract after the Europa final.

What I've heard is that the board believes that the voices on social media are unimportant. The masses on sites like this, twitter etc do not reflect the fanbase, and that he still has the support of the OT faithful. This is how detached they are from reality.

It could also be down to the fact the man they want won't be available until the end of the season.

It's just incompetence at the highest level. From the moment they gave him a permanent contract to where we are now. I'm embarrassed and fuming in equal measure.

In fairness given the rather surprising show of defiant support towards the end of the RS debacle I can see how they’ve reached that conclusion tbh.

Do United's owners care how **** they look as long as they make CL? Pretty sure that was the thing that got the others sacked.

If that's the reason they're happy to keep him on then I would be content for us to fall well short of the CL just so they look like complete tools for keeping him on.

They’re reliant on the CL revenue so failure in that regard is obvs top of their list of sackable offences. They’re just delaying the inevitable now, which seemingly is going to be driven by either the OT crowd turning or them falling well adrift of top 4.

He should have ****ed off by now. He's still around, making ****e decisions though.

With Moyes, they waited till it was impossible to get top four before sacking him.

Which itself was mad, as it was too late by then anyway.
They should have accepted we weren't in the CL following season and given him a bit of realistic time.

Surely there's no was they wait that long with Solskjaer.
We're not out of top four contention by a long chalk, but we will be if we stick with Ole, that's patently obvious.

If top four is so important to them, get rid now and bring in a new coaching team who might have time to get the team into top four, as they are certainly good enough ability wise.

Leicester have identified former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard as a candidate to replace Brendan Rodgers as manager after the Foxes fell to 12th in the Premier League table following their 3-0 defeat by the Blues on Saturday. (Fichajes - in Spanish)

So Brendan has gone from one of faves for Utd job to sacked in a couple of weeks. Fosse won’t be bothered though as the Leicester City bingo hall just got planning permission
