Lads. Isn't it obvious? You know how we broke the mould so often in our recent past? Rodney Marsh, Stan Bowles, Roy Wegerle. The plastic pitch. The first and only team to be mega fined out of existence for breaches of the FFP rules. And we have the perfect introduction with our Chloe Kelly, the woman who singlehandedly won the Euros for the Lionesses. It's got to be Sarina Wiegman
Compensation way too high !

New Zealand women
Herdman arrived in New Zealand and joined the national association football programme in 2003, initially acting as Coach Education Manager and later as the Director of Football Development. Herdman was head coach for the New Zealand women's national football team from 2006 to 2011. Working with the national women's teams, he led the U-20 squad to the World Championship in 2006 and the later renamed U-20 World Cup in 2010. He also guided the senior squad to the FIFA Women's World Cups in 2007 and 2011 as well as the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.[4][5][6]

During his time in New Zealand, Herdman played amateur football for NRFL Division 2 club Hibiscus Coast.[7]

That explains why I had never heard of him

So, at the moment we seem to have these possible names in the hat:
Neil Critchley
Chris Wilder
Mark Robins
Anthony Barry (Scum)
Brian Barry-Murphy (Citeh)
Lee Bowyer

Not a bad short-list … be interesting to know who everyone is up for.

I’ll put my preference out there … Neil Critchley (I fear he may be too expensive), so second choice of Brian Barry Murphy

Please god not Bowyer, blokes just a thug along the lines of Barton. Can't see how Critchley would be more expensive than Beale was. I'd like either Wilder or Robins, but I'd really like the Moroccan manager !

I don't know much about Wilder - I thought he was supposed to have been quite innovative with the way he set up the Blades team that got them out of the championship?

Edit - I've just read his wiki. Seems an amazing record. Why wouldn't we want him?!
Dunno, just seems like an old school porker to me, manager for hire, I’d prefer someone who’s building a career. Like Beale but honest.

Like you, I'd prefer a younger coach with fresh ideas, carving out his career but already having some demonstrable achievements. Nevertheless, having looked at Wikipedia, Wilder does have an impressive record....

Either way, genuine honesty, trust and loyalty would make a refreshing change.

Well it took us 2months to get Beale in so we are looking at January at least to get someone in

Les said that they have a short list of managers which is continuously updated.... which might shorten timescales a little.
