No its certainly his managerial skills. Guys quite a decent chap outside of football. Does a lot of good work.

In football though hes too big for his boots. He will likely have a rant about Roman and Terry and have a power struggle with Chelseas board. Its how he rolls.

Being too big for your boots is nothing to do with managerial skill.

No it does. If you have it like Mourninho and Fergie then by all means, be massive for your boots. If you dont like Rafa....... keep level headed and dont believe your own hype.

If that was a bad thing in football then jose mourihno would be the worst manager of all time.

As I said, Mournoho has it so he can believe his own hype. Hes got the goods to back it up. Same with Fergie.

Rafa however doesnt so him believing hes up there with the very very best is like Hughes and Redknapp believing they are on a par with Jose and SAF.

Rafa at Chelsea would be my worst nightmare. One of the best managers out there if he has money to play with (not a Moyes type where he does well with nothing). He would rip Chelsea apart and then systematically build from scratch and with the resources at his disposal would make quite a giant of them, I have to admit. But then again Abramavich would probably sack him before he got anywhere close to that.

What is this ****e based on? Seriously?

When has Rafa ever built a giant? When?

UIR stop your obsession with Rafa, there are multiple threads around the boards with you ranting about him. I take it you're trying to scare Chelsea off so that he can replace SAF.

I would argue that we were one of the European giants after we won our 5th trophy. and that was with pittance compared to what Chelsea can spend. Certainly UEFA rankings agree, and Fergie when he said he would like to Join the European 'elite' such as Liverpool. Surely if SAF says so it must be true?

whoever you get will not be good enough for roman. just as well no management skills are required. young beckham is looking for a challenge why not let him loose on your lads. at least he may keep you up!! floreat salopia!

Just wait till the tainted knight retires, Utd will have had more managers than the Queen Vic and the Rovers Return within a couple seasons.

Very nice...

So when did he build a giant.

Tenerife? Nope
Valencia? Not what I would consider a giant, did well in a poor league.
Liverpool? CL win but never made you the best side in England so not possible to consider yourselves giants in those days.
Inter? No, far from.
