I have to disagree wholeheartedly with this JWM, does MM know this division inside out and have a proven track record?? From my count he has won promotion out of this division the same number of times as our own Paul Jewell! And I would consider the appointment of MM as a re run of appointing Jewell as I would put them in the same mould- certainly not in the same as BFJ!

I would like to see someone come in with a point to prove and a career to build and agree with Spanish (and others) in the majority of their points. Just to throw another name into the mix - Owen Coyle is apparently on the brink of getting the push at Bolton and he would be ideal in my view, has a good record and experience in this division and has a point to prove and re build his career

I think Saturday has shown that we have enough quality in the squad (loan or otherwise)to give the better sides in the league a really run for their money, but its how you use it that matters, and that can only fall to the feet of PJ.

Firstly, Swap JET and Lee Martin, Lee Martin isn't strong enough to be in the centre, but our goal on saturday showed he can be effective out wide, likewise with JET, everytime he got the ball in the centre Cardiff were ****ting themselves because they knew he would create something.

Secondly, take Drury out, he hasn't got enough for this league, we were crying out for a calm head in the centre at around the hour mark, put in N'Daw (if he is still at the club) or Hyam/Loungo.

Thirdly Cressy, He needs taken to one side and to reel in the ego, he was just as too blame for the goals as loach because he lost his man and didn't bother to try and pick him up again.

i can't possibly know for sure, but i'd hazard a guess that was the worst performance of cardiff's season by some distance. i also suspect you played pretty well, certainly for the first hour and definitely better than you did against charlton. when you catch one of the leaders on a bad day in the championship, they are there for the taking, no matter how poor the other team is in terms of quality, because the gulf isn't as massive as say the premier league.

anyway, manager wise, and i've discussed this before with you, i totally understand warky hailing mccarthy but surely that would be pretty much a like-for-like swap. don't get me wrong, i think mccarthy is a better manager than jewell, and i think he'd get you safe this season, but i believe it would only be a short term fix and you'd end up in the same lowly position this time next year. so the question to you lot is, do you want a younger manager with a long term project where things might get worse before they get better or do you want an experienced coach who may get early results but in the end leave you treading water? pluses and negatives with both options. i hope you keep jewell... or go for iain dowie <laugh>

I have to agree Supers, bringing in Mcarthy for Jewell is a 'like for like swap' and I think it's been said on here before the pair of them are too stuck in their ways having achieved moderate success in the past therefore a little too stubborn to change. I was never over the moon that we went for Jewell but I got behind him and will whoever takes over but we could really do with some Energy and excitement with this decision and like I've said before a young manager with a few years experience would be ideal, learnt his trade and looking to make a step - Keith Hill for example or a young manager with a point to prove - Owen Coyle or Nigel Adkins (if they get sacked) and are looking to rebuild their career

Surely the question should be 'which manager's career do we want to ruin next?'.

With Clegg and Evans in charge of the war room, we'll get someone in and **** them up for good.

Magic was extradited to Oz, Keane can't even get a regular slot on ITV!

Strong rumour has it that a certain mr Dennis Wise is looking to get back into mangement, and strangely enough, does have a good record on paper.

I have to say I would not be devastated if we got McCarthy but it certainly wouldn't fill me with excitement, it is sort of a re-run of the Jewell appointment although he would undoubtably get us out of this situation, PJ is a pretty steriotypical ITFC manager whereas McCarthy isn't, he's much more negative and is pretty much a steriotypical yorkshireman, plays workman like football and he really gets on my nerves in his press interviews, he's so negative!!!

I like Owen Coyle but as I've said before I'd like to see us appoint Risdale, a manager on the up rather on which has just taken a club backwards!!

Completely agree about swapping JET with Martin, I think JET's best position is down the middle and Martin can do a good job wide.

I like Drury but he did have a poor game against Cardiff. I think he is a decent passer of the ball and does offer himself usually for the ball, I think his problem is sometimes he runs himself into the ground and also tries too hard, he goes for the hollywood ball all the time and it either comes off and is a really good pass or he looses the ball. He needs to know when to do this and just when to play it simple.

I actually thought Cresswell had a decent game, and was fairly good defensively apart from the 2nd goal but then again I thought Loach was coming out for the ball aswell. Clearly he's not great defensively but he isn't that bad and him and Murphy looks like a good partnership down the left, he also put some great crosses in!!

    You want him? <yikes>

Look what he has done to every club he has been with. You'd have fish tanks instead of turnstiles to waste the money on.

But then you wouldn't know what to say.......

So in future reference we all have to think like JWM for him to give us a constructive answer or you are a moron. I'll give it a go...

PJ is a useless tw*t, Clegg is a c**t, we a doomed with these clowns in charge!!! Loach is sh*t (because he made 2 mistakes on saturday, despite me saying he was a great signing)!!
