what kind of logic did that woman have?!?! surely if he was leaving DOING the lap of honour would have been essential!! <doh>

i heard someone after the game saying "he's off - did you hear him say 'goodbye' at the end of his speech?"

of course, in context it doesn't sound quite as galling seeing as just prior to it lambert had quipped, "right, i'm off now as i've been talking for ages and you're probably all bored" - or something along those lines.

honestly, some fans need their heads banged against a wall.

<laugh> classic carra. i bet the pinkun posters are crapping themselves!!

please, if anyone doesn't know how paul lambert works yet then they're a fool. he's the most canniest of canny jocks. this is what he does! he knows exactly how strong his bargaining position is with us - he is able to walk on water as far as everyone at norwich city is concerned. nobody knows what will happen in football - literally anything can happen - if yesterdays events didn't help you notice that then you need to open your eyes! but he was asked a question and he gave the only answer he knows. if anyone thinks this was anything more than 'give me a better contract and give me a bigger transfer pot', just like he did last summer, oh, and the summer before that, then they are nuts. and if one person tells me he's off to villa i will piss my pants.

I admire your confidence Supers, I've just got this inkling that's all. Glass half empty, paranoia call it what you will <ok>

Oh, and I never post on the Pink'Un <laugh>

its not really confidence. its logic. that isn't to say he will definitely be here next season - as i say, if the right job came up then he'd consider it most certainly and maybe go, but i've never ever understood the completely illogical panic and paranoia from fans at every word the guy utters that doesn't sit quite right. he wants more money and a bigger kitty - and who wouldn't? can't blame him for doing it - he has done so well he is in such a strong position to negotiate with!

keep smiling kickitoff ! if he gets tempted away ( which I cannot see) Culverhouse will not leave with him and will step into the breech and it will be seamless

Hopefully if he is tempted he will note the abuse poor old Alex McLeish was getting yesterday and he will then remeber us appluading his team off the pitch following a 6-1 thrashing from Man city... where would you rather be????????????

a lot of people are naturally paranoid superman, especially those that rely on what they read in the media. that's just the way they are.

lambert is certainly hot property right now, but then so are Brendan Rodgers and Roberto Martinez - some of their supporters will have similar fears

I don't subscribe to the idea that the words he used yesterday meant he was on his way, but that there was room for interpretation, which could let other clubs think he's appraochable. Bargaining chip, probably, but logically, it could mean anything.

he would have no bargaining chip though had he not said what he did. suddenly he has all the cards again cos the club will have taken notice and think 'we'd better get talking'. at the end of the day people will believe what they want to but why panic about it? why get all worried? worry when he has been approached by a club and goes for talks, not when he gives a throw away line to a journalist.

Just seen this on twitter - someone seems to have 'interpreted' Lambert's words with a large dose of gloom <yikes> - apologies if @LincsCanaries1 posts on here.

Right canaries far and wide, if lambert decides to leave which seems to be on the cards, who will replace him and why? Let's get discussing.

how have they got to that conclusion based on what he said? did he say he was leaving? no. has he ever said he wants to? no. did he say he couldn't move the club forward anymore? no. some people are doing my head in!
