I have been thinking about a new manager since the news broke yesterday. I can see Mick Mcarthy costing too much in wages, And Davies always seems to be badgering chairmen for more money, so He probably wont be the one. They you have the usual names that get banded around at the moment, Keegan, Shearer, Megson etc. So I gave up trying to guess last night and went to sleep. It was 3am when I woke, Screaming out, Sweat pouring from me and a look of sheer terror in my eyes, I'd found him, The cheap, Yes man the Allams need. Brian Laws.
On the LMA available list - some dire and some quality. In terms of who we are likely to get given no budget and no head of football operations saw 4 names who we are likely to get apart from John Beck are Ian Branfoot, Martin Foyle, Mick Harford and Richard Money. Can anyone see a decent manager wanting to work for a team with the owners we have and the budget we have. We are going to get a manager which makes Hately look like SAF
who would be able to keep the ex man-u youngsters together, bring back some respect to the club/owners and help push the club forward.. a. Warren Joyce b. Ole Gunnar Solskjær
I still believe that common sence will prevail and now that AP has gone that NB and Allam's will reach a common ground.
I've always read articles that start "Sky Sports understands.." as meaning "We made some stuff up" or "we heard a rumour". I think its fairly likely it will be Davies, mostly because I don't believe all the drivel about money availability that's been written on here and Davies could do a good job for us. He's certainly not one for trying to be best mates with all the players and would get the best out of some of the younguns. Nick could learn a lot, if his temper doesn't stop that chance for him.
http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=news&news_id=929 CI are saying there's 3 in the frame for the city job.. but they only name 2 of them ? Billy Davies is not going away... but their sources seem to think Mad Mick McCarthy is the man the Allams want.. but who's the 3rd guy ? Barmby.. ?
Usually when Sky sports use that opening line it means they pretty much know but they can't prove it so they have to put 'understands'.
