https://www.safc.com/news/club-news/2018/may/new-senior-management-appointed Great article. Its all change behind the scenes as well
Now let the transfer speculation begin They’re not hanging around like. Very impressive start to their stewardship of the club
It's almost as good to hear about the changes behind the scenes as it is to hear we got our first choice manager. Our newest director seems like a good choice as well. Sunderland fan, and willing to take a pay cut and give up a position at spurs.
I reckon we got our first choice manager in. If so then that's a great sign. I suspect Donald etc are convincing as **** when it comes to bringing people aboard.
Ross is the new senior team manager, managing football related stuff Tony is the new managing director, in charge of all the other stuff. Richard Hill has also been brought on board. Pal with Donald from Eastleigh. However, not as a DoF as the Sun wrongly reported. Donold didn't actual say what his role would be though So it's new management not just a new manager
In the podcast interview SD and CM mentioned possibly bringing in football 'consultants' he could fall into that bracket.
Well, Stewart & Charlie are talking the talk and walking the walk. How ****ing refreshing is that. They’ve clearly done their homework on us, and all the swift action feels so bang on it is alien to what I’ve become accustomed to under previous tenures. I’m really looking forward to the new season ahead, for the first time in years, and I will be able to attend quite a few matches. Phoenix from the flames with brass knobs on.
Just read the ALS article "Pizzas & Pints, with Charlie Methven". I have to say I'm getting a bit too excited about the future. For an old codger like me thats dangerous ground. I am already planning to travel down to see the first home game, and that is a first for many years.
Looks very much like there is a "feel good" factor returning to the club. Lets hope the fans turn up in numbers and show the rest of English Football what an incredible fan base Sunderland has.....that will only attract the right kind of player in the coming months and years
I like the fact that we’re not hanging around time-wise. Something that we’ve been massively guilty of before, just fannying on.
I have just come back from the Ballater walking festival and Aberdeen football club where playing golf at the the local course. I asked a man who had something to do with Aberdeen about Ross coming to us. He said he was a great up and coming manager and if we had got Mcinness Ross was favorite to replace him at Aberdeen.
