Stuart Pearce for the Euros - he knows the players having been a coach and I think with a big tournament is is best to have someone familiar then Redknapp or whoever on a permanent deal after the Euros

Pearce is hiding away somewhat, I don't think England will go there after the strangely inevitable foistering of McLaren upon us (and he needed a few average years at Boro). Mind you, Cappello was the opposite super coach appointment.

I suppose O'Niell is out of the question?

Can't see anyone else get it but harry, but wouldn't mind Hughton getting a chance.

He'd probably get Beckham, Scholes, Seaman, Brooking, Lampard (senior) and Jake Livermore in the team and fluke his way to a final.

trouble is you might not be too far off - will he take england backwards selecting his good friend/relation Lampard and was keen to get Becks for spurs during the break in Usa.

Hughton for spurs? if harry goes, maybe not as first team manager but assistant

I would laugh but it is only too true. Another farcical decision by the FA dinosaurs who are always quick to knock FIFA but have just the same dictatorial regime. Could you imagine Spain pushing their manager in such a situation but the media have got their man again and the amazing thing is that a lot of people are happy about it.

The fact that Stuart Pearce is even being considered as a front runner says it all :(
