Yes it is 'princples' not 'principals', Frankfurter. Spelling is my bugbear too but I get accused of nitpickicking - which I suppose I am. Oh and Phil, it's 'vein' of form, not 'vain'. See I've even taken you off ignore.
Would love to see us get 3pts on sat v Fulham but as you say lads it will be a hard one to win. sorry lads ive gone with a 2 1 win for them on sat /on not 606 hope im wrong.
The Michu injury could be a blessing in disguise for you guys. A run in the team could help Bony get the real PL sharpness he seemed to lack and like every striker each time he's scores in the league it'll do him the world of good for his confidence at this level. I slated him on our board (mainly wumming to be honest) but it was always going to be way too early to write him off. 0 pts for us, 1 for Swansea is my guess.
Sorry Phil but Man city's home form has been absolutely superb, I'd agree 100% if you were home. Man city have failed at ours, Villa and Sunderland but at the Etihad they are still the toughest opponents in the PL statistically.
Steve: You, Sparkey, Swamp and a bunch of others rubbished Bony on your Board and some of us said the opposite if you recall. Watching the team we could see the talent, and his assists were noticeable. It was only a matter of time. Hopefully he can keep this run going. 10 goals in 18 appearances (only starting in a fraction of those) is a decent return. 4 in 10 in the Prem, again not all as a starter, and he's improving all the time. That said, you were not alone and many here felt we'd bought a turkey. Some still do.
Agreed, it's too early to get the flags out and celebrate a new PL star too but there's promise there. Papa Cisse shows that you need to take 1 to 2 seasons into account before really making judgements on the true value of a striker. Of course some prove they are total duds faster than that. Your 12 mill man looking a lump that missed chances was always going to get some grief from our board but all in the spirit we should be winding each other up in. It's your turn next, anyway, because Cornelius is supposed to be close to fitness.
I can see where the 'lump' tag comes from. I posted earlier I just found out he's 5 feet 10 and 13 and a half stone.
He looks to me to be carrying a tad too much weight, I'm sure his extra training is to help weight loss.................
OK, let's forget the recent troubles and get back to the football starting this weekend guys. Let's take this a game at a time then instead of the "next couple" I put in the thread title. So to this weekend. Going into it level on points, who will come out of it ahead? I'll start. I think Fulham will put one over on you up there, and we're capable of pinching a point at home against Man U. So I'll go for us being ahead by one point going into our Arsenal game, and I think we'll need it.
Stop talking about football Sparkey. Not allowed. OK I'll bite. Why do you think they'll get all 3 points off us? And why do you think you'll get a point? OK I'll answer. Fulham have a new attacking coach. Man U have important injuries in their midfield. To which I will reply that Mulensteen hasn't been there long enough to have had an impact and Man U are still gonna be too good for you. NEXT!
Well as theories go that's not bad Sparkey, but I think our bad spell of form is pretty much over, and I see us getting the upper hand at Fulham, so we will at least make a two point gap, but the bookies favour 3!................
I think we have more chance of a point at Fulham, than you do against United Plus you are right, you are capable of pinching a point, your also capable of getting hammered 4-0, so I am going for us to get a point, and you to get 0
I'm really hoping we've taken a lesson from the Stoke game and can start quickly and positively. Too soon to say we've turned a corner though and my head says draw. Their new coach may give them a boost also (hopefully only energy and not form!) I think your game will be tight but Man U showed against Arsenal that they're far from written off just yet and still have some bite. Although you're solid at home I'm going for a Man U win. So Swans ahead by one (or three )
