Looking at the fixtures, I think the next three fixtures provide us with the best opportunity to try and get the season back on track if we want to be successful this year (definition of a successful season is up for debate). Rock bottom Newport first followed by second bottom Harrogate and then 18th placed consistently inconsistent Cheltenham. How many points do we need? Well 9 points is probably the answer but 7 should be the minimum aim to give us some momentum to play a difficult Bromley side.

We were able to beat Newport rather comfortably at Rodney Parade but they showed us up in the FA Cup. Harrogate spoiled our Brian Moore Stand ticket offer game largely thanks to a great performance from James Belshaw in the Harrogate goal (who has just signed for Notts County btw). Cheltenham followed the Harrogate game being one of the first under Dobson's temporary stewardship and similarly to the Harrogate match, we had an extremely high number of chances and box entries with little to show for it.

If Gareth has done anything with this squad during the last two weeks, then I sincerely hope it's to get them back to what they were capable of doing at the start of the season. I know that if we don't achieve success this season it's not the end of the world, but at least give us fans something to cheer about again and get us excited for our next games rather than making us wait till March for them to turn up like the previous 2 seasons.

I posted before the festive fixtures, 15 points available, with all of the matches against teams within 3 points of each other.
So basically all 6 pointers. We got just 2 points. These are the games we should attack and prove a point; we failed.
We are 9 points from the play-offs, that is, the next three games. Apart from Bromley, Swindon, and Salford, form is hit and miss.
BUT a massive hill for us to climb.
Then the tide turns, just like the Medway. Bromley, Notts, then a possible break against Tranmere, Crewe, Chesterfield???? Oldham and Barrow to finish the end of February fixtures.
Now the fun starts in March
Fleetwood, MK Dons, and Cambridge
