I like the bit where Jacob Rees-Mogg orders a COVID testing kit be delivered to his country residence by Heath Department officials, at a time when the peasants couldn't get kits as they had run out in most places.
Mr Rees-Mogg was apparently worried one of his children might have contracted it.

Matt Hancock's people have said that Professor Whitty's advice was not taken as to follow it would have been practically impossible - as in beyond the Government's power to implement.

Leaked by Isobel Oakeshott, who had access because she helped Hancock write his book. TRying to claim it's "In the public interest" is funny. The same woman who is blaming remoaners for B****t going tits up. Something which was predicted by the more cynical of us. I've a feeling Sir Keir must be having second thoughts about his pro-B****t stance.

I wouldn't be surprised if Labour has a look at rejoining the single Market (in some limited way at least) a couple of years after the GE - assuming they win. This will be more likely if they need the Lib Dems to prop up their Government.

Politics, it's a dirty game. Never let the will of the People get in the way of staying in power...

The Royal soap opera goes on...

Harry & Meghan told they couldn't use Frogmore Cottage anymore when staying in the UK, just after Harry published his book <applause>
    Quite right.
Harry sticks the knife into his closest relatives, how can he expect to get free bed & board & security at the British taxpayers' expense every time he feels like dropping by. And Harry's decision to air his understandable contempt for Camilla was not going to go unpunished.
The Sussexes are more than rich enough to pay for their own security if they want to visit the UK.

Then we hear Frogmore Cottage could be given to Prince Andrew <doh>
    Quite wrong.

    EDIT:

By the way, I know several newspapers have hooted that Harry & Meghan have been 'evicted' from their Cottage.
Personally I find that typically crass of the Press, and insulting to everybody who has ever been genuinely evicted from their home because they could not afford to pay their rent or mortgage, or through no fault of their own at all.

Here's Tory Helen Whatley trying to cover up for the vile Matt Hancock, spliced with a video of Matt Hancock admitting he knew about asymptomatic covid infection. Thousands died. Enough cover ups. Send the guilty to jail.

Another disgraceful situation is that the UK inquiry into the Pandemic is due to take several more years before it is completed.
Some are saying as long as a decade.

Does Rishi Sunak really think people are going to accept that every time stories like this come out, he can just say "it's proper to wait for the results of the inquiry". These stories are only beginning to come out in this fashion now BECAUSE the official inquiry won't report for donkey's years to come.
This Government is dragging its heels in an unforgivable manner.

In France and some other European countries their Inquiries are almost finished.
But meanwhile in the UK Politicians are publishing lucrative books about how bravely they led the way during the Pandemic, and Boris Johnson (who only survived because of the dedication of COVID medics) makes after dinner speeches for :emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash:

People won't forget how dreadfully this Government behaved - and is still behaving. Covering their arses.
How much more is going to emerge through leaked emails & text messages?
And all this on top of Partygate - which Sunak himself was a part of and was fined for.
The whole thing stinks to high Heaven.

10,000+ articles published on Nicola Bulley's disappearance in UK publications.
170,000 people reported missing in the UK each year, according to the charity Missing People.

Most of them poor kids leaving or kicked out of broken homes. A situation most people (especially social media self styled detectives and busy bodies) don't want to think about. There's no sympathy for urchins now, any more than there was in Victorian times.

Nicola Bulley's disappearance acquired an element of 'Agatha Christie' style mystery when her body was not found within about 72 hours.
This attracted every kind of ghoul and idiot.

The Telegraph is getting just as bad as the Daily Mail. Something to do with Chris Evans being editor I imagine.

I read somewhere that the Mail got that story from a parody instagram account on twitter. Quality in depth journalism at it's finest. So the parties the Met fined Boris at - he wasn't actually there? So it's not just the Labour Party but the Met have colluded to bring down poor old 'Honest Johnson'? Must be true if the Heil are printing it!!

Sometimes politician drive you crazy. I generally sympathise with socialists but that isn't a carte blanche. There was a proposal here in Spain from the Socialist/Podemos government coalition to prevent rape and especially gang rape on the back of a case at the San Fermin bull run that drove most of the country crazy. The new law, 'only Yes is Yes' was supposed to bring in tougher sentences and make rape convictions easier. As soon as it became law, lawyers for the defence began appeals and the reult was a huge number of rapists in prison were able to reduce their sentences at a stroke. The socialsists are currently trying to modify it (without admitting it was wrong), while the other half of the coalition are blaming the judges for mis applying the law .
Meanwhile , Podemos are also bitterly complaining about sending weapons to Ukraine, as this is 'fuelling the conflict' and are calling for dialogue <doh>. I assume they know a completely different Putin from the one who is bombarding civilian areas for over a year.

    Matt Hancock was willing to let disabled people suffer in order to get his way;
Agreeing with a plan to block a disability hub in Bury if their local MP did not support lockdown laws.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-64870505

    That is pure class.
Many people suspect this kind of thing goes on all the time in Government.
Back bench MPs strong-armed into co-operating by having services for their vulnerable constituents threatened.
But seeing evidence of it is no less shocking, just because it's widely assumed to be happening.
This kind of thing only further undermines public confidence in the human decency of those who rule us.

Meanwhile in the real world water firms have been told to police themselves. Translates as Carry on Pumping out Raw Sewage. You won't read about this in the Mail, Telegraph or Express.

HS2 delayed because of spiralling costs. What a huge waste of money. So that one day you can get to Manchester half an hour quicker.
