Sunderland could face competition from Nurnberg for FC Zurich striker Admir Mehmedi in the January transfer window. The 20-year-old is reported to be one of Steve Bruce's winter targets after impressing during his development in Switzerland. But Bundesliga outfit Nurnberg are also interested in Switzerland international Mehmedi, who has scored 13 goals in 47 matches for Zurich. Nothing Bruce does anymore fills me with excitement, interest or indeed hope. Whoever he brings in will either be ****e and flop, or good and piss off after 5 mins. I don't see any light at the end of our current tunnel. There, that gets Tuesday off to a nice depressing start. Lol
How many more 'promising young strikers' are we going to sign without anyone who can deliver right now? We've already spent £10m-plus on Connor and Ji. I'm not against building for the future, but let's not forget there's a little issue that comes up each May.
