I haven't written much of my own material in a while, I haven't had a chance.

My style is different to Newgod, I don't have the gift of just penning a verse in a matter of minutes. I need to be in the mood, or something has to happen for my memories of bad experiences to be triggered, then I feel a sort of... I was going to say anger but it's an emotion I can't describe. After that the lyrics come easy, it's like a switch in my brain that I can't control by myself. That's the only way I can describe it kinda.

Most of my work is filled with angst, anger, frustration. There's nothing happy or even positive about it.

I need to try and focus on the positive things I've achieved, like how I managed to make a new start for myself after a difficult start in life.

well first of all regarind the base of emotions for the songs
you have to get them i mean anyhow, i mean all the things that you need for a song may not be physically present in your life for example, Emily is not in my life but i do use her to communicated with the listeners as if that is a real person
when i say things like Emily i never intended to earn your hate
its more like presenting a sense of regret for earning hate, although its not that emily hates me

second you are right about the positives, try to make a funny song, if its not really funny make it a light hearted, careless song, regarding the mood well i guess i am like that i start to design songs pratiaclly anywhere when i on the bus, in the kitchen cooking, walking or even working out,

one thing that i dont really like is that when people say i try to copy Eminem
i mean i dont copy him, buy may be my lyrics and all sounds similar to him, but its not really intentional

 

I'm a big fan of Eminem - or at least his earlier work. The Marshal Mathers LP is what I can relate to most - that album is basically me.

You can tell Eminem was in a low place back then. But even then, he managed to throw in some lighthearted skits and the bonus track 'Kids'

yeah and also that i dont really even take my rapping very seriously
if i would have to put on a album and sell it to earn money maybe i would be a 1000 times more serious than i am at the moment
right now i hav no pressure of working on anything its like if i like to work on a project i do if i dont i postpond it

like my project Drake Vs Newgod
its a song where Drake blames Newgod for all the bad things in his life
and Newgod presents himself as a well usual extreme self superior person

i postponed that project coz i think i need more experience for that also that maybe a decade later i can put up that song better

but if i would have been a pro i would give my best work more priority
hence make some songs which would have been greater a bit low sided
