lol panic over a new super hero has emerged to save the day. SPL 2. twice as strong as spl 1. Seriously wtf just send them to div 3, the bloody season starts soon.
This is a bad decision for Scottish Football and a bad decision for Sevco. Scottish Football did not give other clubs who were seeking admittance to SFL3 a fair opportunity of getting admission. Sevco, the bastard child of Rangers were rushed in without considering if they were ready for it. Spartans I believed had prepared diligently and met all the criteria but were not considered. Sevco have not been tested to see what criteria they meet. The club has no board of Directors, the club has no money and the only backers Charles Green has mentioned, have denied they are backing him. A 50,000 seater stadium is not the correct venue for crowds of 6,000 to 10,000. Charles Miller's financial reputation is such that he cannot set up "normal" bank account and is using an unknown bank called Metric. which won't accept D.D's for season ticket payments. If Sevco start in SFL3 they certainly won't finish the season in any league Repeat Liquidization is almost a certainty. Sevco's only chance is to go part-time but they are forced to loan out their current best players who no other club wants. Sevco definitely are in for a tough ride .
Sevco are extremely lucky to have been given this opportunity. Free entry into the SFL without ever kicking a ball. McCoist on about one or two individuals and "punishments"....Jesus ****in wept. They have hardly been punished at all. Still talking in the present tense. What a ****ing shower.
Posted this on another thread - looks like the 1st division clubs in particular have scuppered the idea of an SPL2 elite - see approx 3mins in to Longmuir's interview. (In any case it would appear to be too late for it to happen this season!)
Newco to be banned for a season for their past crimes, then enter spl2 (or maybe even spl1) next summer?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18826839 Looks like some of the clubs are concerned about the eventual outcome.
Yes, I saw that view expressed prior to the actual vote being taken, however, I think now that both the SPL and SFL clubs have stated their and their fans' positions clearly to the world at large, it would undoubtedly be the biggest farce yet to occur if Regan, Doncaster and Ogilvie, ably assisted by a sycophantic media and the like, were to attempt to usurp the situation at this stage. I wouldn't, of course, put it past them to attempt to do so - they seem not to mind having turned themselves into a sick joke, so probably have no qualms about doing the same to Scottish football - but time will tell (and so far so good from the vast majority of clubs and their fans).
Direct quotes from Green and McCoist now saying they have accepted and are happy with Division 3 (contradicting earlier statement cheering on SPL2) - it would really be a farce of the highest order if SPL2 is still in any way on the cards.
One would think that should be it now and the 3rd division is where Newco will start, as is right and proper - and they are fortunate to have been accepted so easily into the 3rd. I agree totally, that any thoughts still harboured about an SPL2 would now be even more preposterous given the verdicts from all the clubs and their fans, together with these public statements of acceptance from Green and McCoist (disingenuous as they may be).
I think we should have no doubts, when a man like Maltese Mick, and we know his standing in the community, speaks the rest of football world must listen. We now can be sure thanks to Maltese Mick there won't be any deviance
