Personally think we will see the best of him now far better suited to playing with n doye than jelavic

I reckon he's going to be a great player in the years to come. Would rather hold on for another season, see him score 10+ and then sell him at a profit.

Let's get to May and stay up, then let the wolves, rather than the vultures circle. I haven't been that impressed though.

Think it's N'Doye who we'll make a bag of cash on eventually, we'll do well to sell on Hernandez for anything like £10m

Abel's 24. Dame's 30. It's quite obvious who has the resale value (but agree we'll do well to break even on Abel).

N'Doye won't go for a profit. He'll be too old very quickly. Unless we sell him next January after he bags 10 goals in the first half of the season.

If Hernandez kicks on like I honestly reckon he will I think we'll have a great player on our hands. Remember Jela and N'Doye are both nearing or have hit 30. Jela has a dodgy knee which will probably be with him until he retires. Hernandez is the way forward.

Just a thought; maybe we should keep the bulk of our squad together? Hernandez will only get better and if we sell now we will maybe get £6/7m for him...who could we replace him with for that?

I think the idea of keeping the squad together is correct. Look how together we were last season with theoretically inferior players, compared to this season with a large chunk of turnover in the squad.

We now have youth to promote internally. Need a new CB? We have Maguire ready to step up. Jela or N'Doye injured? Hernandez can fill the void. Hopefully Lenihan can replicate this as depth at RB.

We need a young keeper to challenge McGregor, and probably a decent CM over the summer.

The only person who would pay 6/7 million quid for a 1 in 5 striker would not get a permit to leave Delapole looney bin!

We need to strengthen our goal-scoring as, even when we create chances (the next priority), we convert too few. Third priority is a new GK.

    1 in 5? Hernandez has 4 goals in 13 starts. That's almost 1 in 3.

Yep, 22, and just won the Asian Cup with Australia, and the Goalkeeper of the year two years running in Belgium. Maybe a bad example, but Bruce brought Mignolet across at the same age for a lot less.

I said before the Chelsea game and the fact remains, if N'Doye and Hernandez score another 4 goals between them we're fine.

Unless we somehow lose all our matches 2-1 or 3-2.

4 from 20 according to his "Wiki" and that's 1 in 5 Syd! Mind you, you're that far behind everything in Sydney you probably haven't heard that Jeremy Clarkson got the @rse!

They won't get relegated, they've got enough points to stay up already.

He has started 13 games.. sub appearances barely count. In fact it's 1 in 12 if you don't count the game where he came off after 30 minutes.

Goals per 90 minutes are a far more accurate measure and I suspect his is much closer to 1 in 3 games than 5.

    Run along now.
