He's a top player and I did a thread in August on Willock and was laughed at. Funnily enough I listened to some divy saying he was nothing more than a squad player on a phone in chat. Not long ago I said he should be playing for England and was laughed at, but I wasn't joking and there's some crap players in comparison got England caps. I also remember when we loaned him and plenty saying it was **** signing and I was delighted.
He’s a far better player than Longstaff. What did Longstaff do today. I don’t recall him doing anything.
Willock is a brilliant player and If Maino ever delivers a pass like he did to isak vs Tottenham last season we'll never hear the end of people saying Gareth has to pick him. Last season Willock was arguably our best player ,but time and time again didn't get motm when he CLEARLY was. Longstaff? He's garbage in comparison.. like comparing gold with dung
I wrote at the time we were taken over (over 2 years ago) that Willock was the player I could see raising his game most alongside better players and being a staple in our team as we progress. Any opinions are going to get a variety of responses, it's important to not just focus on the negative ones for your own mental health as much as anything else really.
It’s like Groundhog Day. Yes it’s better but we said a year ago Longstaff, Murphy and Burn need to be upgraded and we’re in the same position. Let’s hope this summer they don’t make a ****ing pigs ear of recruitment,
