It looked very smart on the day, but the club's traditional colours include black shorts, so it's a no from me. Don't want us to be confused with Stoke...

Our first red and white striped shirt had white shorts and for most of the sixties we wore white shorts mate, I agree though black shorts look much better <ok>

Got so say i thought we looked the best team, we set up and everyone knew their job. Newcastle had their chances but they never gelled as a team. I thought for large parts we looked comfortable especially playing away in a derby game in front of 50,000+. Maybe its just me but i was pretty relaxed and never thought we would lose after the 15 minutes of first half pressure dropped away. Although got to say i would still of taken a draw with 10 minutes left.

I think it was pretty even but The mags worked our keeper more. If not for Costal, who was my man of the match, we would have been beaten.

I too thought we'd nick a winner like. When the Mags stated booting it long ball I had a feeling it was going to be our day.

Yeah probably true on the goalkeeper but i still think we had the best chances and Newcastle had to fire in from distance a lot. We didnt work the keeper a couple of times that we really of should especially Gomes. Fantastic win and well deserved, i got so sick of the Jack Colback crap that it was nice that he didnt get the winner or something which would of been a nightmare!!!

Anyway NEXT, lets smash Mrs Doubtfire on boxing day and the Christmas period couldnt be better!!!

Aye, all that matters is the win. Loved the goal too. Really hope we smash Hull, don't want them becoming a bogey team.

Good point mate. It's interesting to see how the kit has changed over the years: http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Sunderland/Sunderland.htm

We might see the white shorts again this season at Hull away, we'll see I guess.

:emoticon-0159-music Let it (warm) glow :emoticon-0159-music

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the win was so delightful
And since the Mags feel so low
Let it glow, let it glow, let it glow.

It sure is a lovely feeling
    Sat watching the w**kers beeling
    We've won 4 times in a row
Let it glow, let it glow, let it glow.

When we finally make it 5
How they'll hate trudging back to the bus
But if you're a Sunderland lad
You'll be singing & cheering for Gus.

Oh, their pride is slowly dying
And they've spent the whole night crying
But as long as we love it so
Let it glow, let it glow, let it glow. ........... <party>

I would mate, but it would just bring a s**tstorm of repetitive stupidity onto the Sunderland board.

The decent lads, Mags included, don't deserve that which is why I stay off here most of the time.

(Rest day today so I've relented a bit.)

They just don't have the brains to come back with anything but hysterical insults & s**te 'banter'.

I was close to one this morning over there on their United vs Toon match thread, I couldn't be bothered with it though, I'm in a festive, upbeat mood, maybe if it was another time I'd have indulged.

As a Christmas present from LVG I'd like Di Maria, Mata, RVP, Rooney and Falcao to all start and attack the hell out of it.

I thought it being so close to Christmas we only beat them 0-1 so that they would not feel so bad, that is why we missed all those siters, we felt sorry for those less fortunate than ourselves.
