That was funny, Johnson's gone over there to offer sympathy but he's ended up laughing right in his face.
Aye poor old Jack, well he wanted to feel like a Geordie........so there you go fella get used to it!
**** the ginger ninja, he prob thought he was used to winning in the derbies... haha. Ha'Way the lads!
By the by but how would people feel about white shorts next season? Id personally like a change from black for a year.
Both teams had the chances to win this game much earlier on. Campbell and Perez both blew chances they should have finished, Wickham, Johnson, Gomez all had chances too not to mention ****nugget Larsson who fluffed that chance to earn me £80 off my Sunderland (-1) bet! Both sides should really be in over Xmas for finishing practice. Sissoko was bossing the game for much of the 2nd half getting forward, then he seemed to hurt himself and sit deep. That invited Sunderland to attack again, an amateur mistake. When Toure gets forward in games for City, that's it then, it's just defend, defend, defend for the opposition. The same thing was happening yesterday, but he went and sat back in a defensive position which I think he's poor at, Pardew at that point had lost the shape and he was flapping around like a drowning rat. With more killer instinct in front of goal, Poyet should already have a top 10 side.
I'd be frustrated too if I was the only available striker at Liverpool and they put a tired player in the starting line up ahead of me
A fair, independent assessment that. However, I'm still ****ered off last neet & it's all a bit of a blur.......................
Campbell Terry? A good assessment mate, in my opinion the game opened as I would have expected, they bossed the first 15 minutes and I would probably give them 15-20 minutes in the second half but we bossed the rest. We had the better chances, you are right, if we could finish we would have a decent team. Gary Bennett called it right in his commentary when Pardew took Tiote off and put Cisse on, he said Newcastle were going for it but we would get chances on the break. Sissoko is a player and a half, but he sat deep when Tiote went off, they lost their shape and he lost his effectiveness.
That dwarf they put on up front, my mate text me (he's a toon fan) said it was a new prodigy calle Armstrong then text me saying it was Campbell, or the other way round. Either way, to fetch him on instead of Cisse at that point was a risk, if he'd have squared that ball to Sissoko, instead of going with his heart, he'd have possibly won the game for them. Pardew just seems to get it wrong, unless his decisions are forced upon him. I hope he continues on boxing day, I'd like to hammer them by 6 but I'd take a scrappy 1-0 given LVG's obsession with 3-5-2 and how poor we look in that system.
I hope you batter them Terry, and if we can sneak a win against Hull, we will be a point behind them and the season begins to look a bit better
That's the script mate, innit. Boxing day fixtures don't often go to script mind, depends how disciplined the players are the day/night before. I will admit though, based on current form and available players, there's not many fixtures I'd swap our boxing day fixture for in this league.
Game could have gone either way, both side missed sitters. Thought mags were slightly the better team but when they started with the long ball **** I was rubbing my hands. Another incredible goal in the derby. On balance we deserved the win for actually putting the ball in the net. 4 in a row
