Ron & Jose was massive for me. It's like I got all the closure I needed in an instant, and then the warm memories flooded back. I really did appreciate it. (ha like it was meant for me!)
Pochettino was quite gushing about us recently as well and said he would always love us. He is someone who says unexpected things though....after the recent CL win over City he was asked if that was his best moment and he said no, citing an important game for Espanyol. As for Shearer, he seems to feel his career started after he left Saints Wouldn't have hurt him to say that it would be difficult for us to achieve top ten rather than a blatant no. I would say there is little chance of top 6, but 7-10 are up for grabs for lots of teams including us.
Best thing about having Ralph in charge is waking up on match day and genuinely being excited about a watching a good game of football that we could we win! Bring on 5.30pm, in the meantime, beer, sun and bbq!
Happy Birthday @timatoketchup ! I haven’t got you a present, but I am hoping that a bunch of lads who travelled to the North East yesterday will bring you home one!
Interesting weekend...I use interesting in the sense of wetting your pants interesting rather than that's nice interesting. Could bring us, Brighton and Cardiff closer....before we streak away again of course (in the spirit of total confidence exuding from all Saints fans at the moment). Ideal scenario....we win and Brighton lose and then we can wish Cardiff a miracle. Otherwise...die, Cardiff, die (did I say that out loud?).
I thought it was rather stupid and ignorant of him to give blunt `No`. A more intelligent and accurate comment would have been something along the lines of - ` I don`t think Saints will be top ten next season, but it depends how successful they are in the transfer market`.
1.5 points per game x 38 = 57 = 7th. Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth were 10th on 44 = 1.16 point per game, achievable or not?
I honestly think that we will not be struggling next season and in that case we will have a reasonable chance of 7-12th....we should be in that tranche of teams that make up the middle ground. We have a good manager who can get the best out of a decent side (not anywhere near a top side, but a decent side)...you finish where you deserve to finish, but we have been underperforming....hopefully that will stop next season. And I am hopeful of keeping Ralph for a while....he won't attract top sides in the EPL, so we have to make sure he doesn't do a sideways move like Koeman. Keep him happy.
I think he's wrong. Ralph has enough about him, and as many have suggested with some signings, could be exciting to see what we can do in the Prem next season. Assuming we are in the Prem
That's true but every team that's finishing 7th-17th this year could make a good case that they can look up next season. And at least two of the teams that come up might be quite good. So some teams are going to be disappointed. We were nowhere near going down this season but next year could be harder.
