Why would JJ target GS? Some serious bad blood/training incident between them?

With regards to the match, anything less than 3 and you should be disappointed!

Shall we say a slight altercation between the two. So Siggy was delighted when Jon Jo left.

And Siggy has been scoring ever since .... How's Shelvey been doing ? . Shelvey has a mean streak , we've seen it . Wouldn't take to much to have him go semi berserk IMO , I just wouldn't play Siggy , needs a day off anyways .

How sweet would it be for us to be the team that finally puts them out of their misery and closes the coffin lid on the toon.....Hopefully helping Norwich a bit to their quest of staying up....<ok>

I think Siggy can look after himself but would also like to see Routledge start instead of Ayew. I knew Ayew was stronger with his left but hadn't realised how one footed he was until Saturday.

Siggy is a big boy I am sure he can look after himself and to suggest leaving him out is crazy, there are only 5 games left and he gets a rest before the euro's. No goals in us without him, both scoring and creating.

3-1 to you guys. A calamitous own goal as your team takes pity on the dustbins they've been up against.

You guys have really turned a corner since Guidolin has come in. No way should you be slumming it with the dross. You're my second team (after spending time in Swansea) so only wish good things for you!

But Jonjo is the consummate professional footballer. He doesn't go on the pitch to crock an ex-colleague...He'll want to display his sublime range of passing and maybe score a spectacular goal...and above all devote all his energies to getting Newcastle out of the terrible mess that they're in. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Shelvey is the one we will have to watch closely imo.

I suspect he will either be the match winner or he will get himself sent off - one or the other!

With the way everything has gone , good for Siggy and us and not good for Shelvey and Newcastle .....I can just feel Shelvey's short fuse getting smoulderingly shorter for this game . Having Shelvey playing in the same area as Siggy for this game will be to much for Shelvey to handle and might lose it . Probably nothing to it but If Siggy was not going to play every game till seasons end , this we be a good one to rest him . Just got a bad feeling .

That's it with Jonjo, he's an enigma. Capable of brilliant or awful football. He needs to find consistency to be a good player. I always enjoyed having him in the Swans set up, but obviously there were things going on behind the scenes which led to him leaving.

He's capable of firing in a 25 yarder to win the game on Saturday, but I'd be more fearful of Townsend. Mr G will have seen what Townsend did against Southampton so hopefully we can shut him down before he unleashes anther thunderbolt.

Not putting a player on the pitch out of fear, particularly one that wins us matches, is cowardly and foolish. Thankfully, I can't see it happening.

Cowardly and foolish is what Shelvey could very well do to Siggy .
Siggy will certainly want to play but managing the team for the good of the team in general is more important .
This is an unusual circumstance with a loose cannon player who has had altercations with Siggy in the past .

I don't think it's that unusual to have players who dislike each other on the pitch. Did Alex Ferguson rest Roy Keen when they played Arsenal and Viera was on the pitch? Did Wenger do likewise? Professional players are used to it and both Siggy and Shelvey will be aware of the situation. If Siggy was a fringe player then I'd understand it maybe but he's the main man for us right now and I'm sure that the only ones who will be happy to see him not start wil be the Toon players, Rafa and their fans.

Each place is worth a lot of money in the Prem and it's important we have a good finish. Also, even though we are still PROBABLY safe we don't want to hand the game to the Toon. It's important we keep them down there and Siggy is crucial to that imo. I fully accept what you say about Shelvey and his short fuse but this a big boys game not a knitting class. Let them get on with it I say.

All I really was ever getting at is no player plays all the games , this would be a good place , in time , to have Siggy hit the bench ...simple .
Frankly , for this perticular game , I see everyone at risk if the right situation arises during the game from Shelvey
Shelvey seemed to have hard feelings toward Siggy , coupled with them occupying the same area during the game and it would be not doing my job not to let it into my thoughts as a manager .
