Couldn't find an official buildup / match day thread for this so have started a new thread. Please combine if there is one.

Will be interesting to see the line up for this given the clubs change of policy on cups. What do you think the lineup will be?

To be honest I would like to play a weakened team but a strong one still. Give most of Saturdays non starters a start to keep our ayozes, chancels, colors and jinis fresh. I'd even give toney a shot. See what he can do

I would like to see this

Darlow
Janmaat Taylor Lacelles Haidara

Kemen Tiote

Thauvin De Jong Aarons

Toney

Bench - Elliot, Mbemba, Colback, Ayoze, Mitrovic - Cant remember how many subs, but if 7 chuck williamson and Obertan on the bench to watch and learn!

I'd rest Taylor for Willo and play Mitrovic for 60mins instead of Toney, but aside from that I'm with Toon_Man_Sam.

I agree, but mitro put in a hell of a shift against man u, But on the flip side, I'd like to see him play and get amongst the goals. Not being too disrespectful to Northampton, but if he could get two or three that would defo help his confidence.

We wont win the cup regardless but we should field, cisse, aarons, de jong and thauvin along with a few others so expect to win this game

Good point on Willo actually DPP. Maybe look at Sterry or Mbabu??

With Mitro - 60mins won't hurt. A goal or two would really set the lad on fire - I think we might have the real deal with him.

We'll go with something like this I reckon:

Darlow

Janmaat, Mbemba, Willo, Haidara

Tiote, Colback

Aarons, De Jong, Thauvin

Perez/Cisse

We should definitely rest Colo and Saylor given their past injury record. Anita and Sissoko both have knocks. I'm confident we'll go through even though we won't field our strongest team. I think in midfield we actually have some really good options now. I hope Obertan starts because that would point to him not starting at the weekend.

Mitrovic needs to play in this one. He'll score goals and gain confidence from it. Plus, lower league defenders like to try and physically bully strikers. They'll find it's not easy to do with Mitro.
