You'll have to read between the lines. Billy is keeping his cards close to his chest and giving away little
I was an outsourcing Service Manager. Usually worked on client sites or at home. Department base was Warwick, but rarely went there. Worked literally all over the world. Sounds great, but the reality was getting up at 4am for a flight, taxi to some God-forsaken industrial estate, 16 hours day being abused by customer, hotel, 16 hours... repeat & repeat until arrive home knackered on a Friday. You an ex-IBMer?
Not wishing to get involved in all this, but WJ, whilst thats the legality none of us know if that has happened.
How is that not wishing to get involved? In four weeks max we will be either promoted or see what happens. No point having a huge immoveable object/ irresistable force debate. Not long to wait.
Exactly my point! (See #2, below). Glory asserted that "The predated contract is not legal in the uk" (post #269). The thrust of my points are simply: 1. A 'predated contract' CAN be legal in the UK. 2. How can you know that it's not legal unless you've seen the actual contract?
Hey'up Jock, "You're absolutely wrong on this one. I watched it frame by frame. He started to come out, then realised the ball was 15 yards out, and was out of his range" You basically said what I said, then included the word "hesitation" near the end of your post. If you watched it frame by frame Jock, you should've also heard the sky sports commentator say pretty much what I said. Green made the decision to come out for the ball from the cross, he started to come out then changed his mind and started backpedaling putting himself all at sea. When a keeper needs to make that kind of decision, it's either commit or stay, basic rules all keepers are taught at a young age, and Green is an ex England keeper; even school team coaches teach that one to keepers. I don't know what you mean by 15 yards out, the penalty spot is only 12 yards out. The ball was crossed and the Newc player headed from the corner of Greens 6 yard box, Green had time and could've easily caught or punched that ball if he stayed committed, but because he hesitated, changed his mind and back pedalled the newc player was allowed to head the ball back across the goal resulting in a goal. He also had time to go for the ball while the ball was floating across after the header, look how close to the ball Green is, but he's flat footed and ball watching, instead he ended up side pedalling and a goal was scored. Had it been Silvestri, many would be blaming him and tearing him apart. A keeper commands and bosses his area, he's got an 18 yard box to do it in. Green should've committed instead of hesitating and back pedalling, he's an ex England keeper, he should know all this. I'll agree the defence were slack in allowing the first header, but you can't keep laying blame on the defence for basic keeper errors. The mistake came from Green before the first Newc player headed the ball. I'm willing to bet the keeper coach would've mentioned the error after match....... .
But you have got to give him a lot of credit for keeping us in the game, had it not been for his saves, we would have lost that game easily
Hey'up Olof, As I mentioned earlier to you Olof, he pulled off some good saves, had it not been for Woods late equaliser comments could be different, we were also lucky to get away with not having a penalty awarded against us. It was a great game to watch, my bum never stopped clenching or squeaking, probably our most exciting match of the season......
Well, i'll beg to differ mate, I don't think he was at fault for the goal, I thought he was unlucky, I agree they probably should have had a penalty, but Shelvey should have been booked four times and thus sent off but for some reason the ref never booked any of their players til the last few minutes also thought Roofe should have had a pen when he was shoved off the ball early on, its all about ifs and buts and opinions I suppose, but you should give Green a bit more credit
