Utter ****in ****e yesterday . Perez what more can be said . We need new recruits simple as that. As for the eleven minutes protest which I did was ****in embarrassing .. He's here to stay now let's just get on with it.
Wise words. Ashley will do what's best for the club, and his pocket, with what he's prepared to spend. The protests are starting to overshadow the support but they're pointless. I've no idea if the players were distracted by the 11th minute thing, or the Ashley chants, but it's not worth taking the chance in a relegation battle imo. Asking Brighton supporters to join in the protest received the inevitable response. Their club had almost vanished, they had no ground and had to borrow a pitch to train on. Asking them to protest about Ashley's net spend was the point when it went past the point of reason. You're correct, Ashley won't 'get out of the club' until someone comes up with a big enough bag of cash .... ... until then you may as well put him on ignore
Sad but true - same with Wolves protest, maybe it makes a point to the mainstream media, but the majority seem to already have woken up to the fact that he's an odious piece of work so not much benefit there. He has the cash from seat season tickets sales, so can't see that he's going to be particularly bothered if people turn up or not. Things like walk ins/outs and boycots to my mind only harm the team on the pitch.
As Perez wasn’t bad enough, I had to endure the useless ****ing ****stain of a commentator pronouncing his name Ayothe Pereth, normally I can never recall how much of the ball a player has really but he had the ball a ****ing lot yesterday, I was proper wound up with that commentator! When he started on Jothelu I had to turn the sound off. I blame the dickhead commentator fully on Mike Ashley as well.
In my opinion the media know him as an odious piece of work without the Newcastle connection. His various underhand activities, barbaric working conditions and crass public behaviour don't endear him. No disrespect, but his 'net spend' record isn't exactly a hanging offence. There are too many clubs like Leeds, Forest, Villa, Coventry, etc, who've been much more screwed around by various owners for Newcastle to attract too much sympathy tbh. Even if a 10 second clip, of a protest, is shown on national TV I'd doubt anyone even raises an eyebrow. If the vast majority of Newcastle fans can't be arsed to 'join the struggle' you can't expect anyone else to be bothered.
Can't argue with any of that - when you look at many other clubs, we could be a **** ton worse off than currently
Sunderland somehow attracted a billionaire who spent money, took risks and showed ambition ... ... I'm driving up to Accrington on Saturday
Exactly - the position of the clubs could just as easily be reversed. Sounds like a lot of your lot are enjoying your footy a lot more - we did in Championship, although maybe not the best analogy for you guys....
As good as Rafa was against Burnley, he was equally bad against West Ham. His set up, team selection and use of subs all left a lot to be desired. It is easy to blame the lack of spend etc etc, but some of that on Saturday was down to preparation and execution. Why you drop Clark I'm not sure. I thought Rondon was very lucky to start too after Burnley. Lazy again. The result was obviously flattering and it was a game we could have won. It will be small margins all the way this season. Very disappointing as that was a good opportunity to build a bit of momentum. Nothing new though, we knew we'd be in a relegation battle this year. I still think he'll do enough to get us out.
Maybe but Everton Wednesday, can't remember the last time we beat them(be saying that for a few seasons now)!
We could have went into with a bit of confidence though if we nailed the 4th on the bounce. I'm not sure why Rafa changed what he did, but it certainly didn't work. Clark must have been raging when the teamsheet went up. "Look Ciaran, I'm leaving you out today, you're on the bench" "ok boss, I thought I played well but if Dummy's back I understand" "Actually its Manky who is playing in your place today" "What? That ****ing tyre kicker? You're a twat" Everton would be tough regardless. Good side and we don't have a great record as you say. I remember beating them one year when HBA scored I think. Apart from that they do us most of the time.
