Had a look, a ban would be harsh.

He catches him and he does look towards him but that could be nothing, he could be checking where his marker is which would be normal. Doesnt seem intentional and clearly doesnt hurt Cabaye as he takes a while before he decides to go down which implies he was trying to get RVP sent off.

Nothing to it really, far worse has happened this weekend to keep the FA busy <ok>

The ref was a bit trigger happy with the cards today. The FA will likely look at the RVP incident.

    Great performance by United <ok>

Only (minor) fly in the ointment for me was ....Welbeck. How did he miss that open goal? he is missing too many for my liking. Howver, overall best performance by the team in the league so far as I was expecting a really tough match.

Not even surprised Van Persie got away with it.

I agree in the general idea about Welbeck missing too many opportunities, but I can forgive the missed chance on the open goal, he was at a poor angle with the ball rolling away from him and his body's momentum was carrying him away from the goal when he hit it. Was always going to be a tough shot. Although I think the better option would have been to have held the ball up and played someone else in.

Yup. Fair play to Welbeck for staying on his feet when most players would go down, whether or not it was because he had a talking too, or was just embarrassed from his "dive" against Wigan and made an extra effort to stay on his feet.

No ones calling for his head, but he should have buried a few of the chances he's got this season.
