It's true, it's science, when u go up in the air your body is getting all messed with, it doesn't matter how luxurious it is, luxury can't account for your body going that high into altitude when it's not supposed to.
I'm a pessimist by nature but think this one should be comfortable considering our quality and the injury issues Newcastle are having to deal with. As Arsenal fans, we really should have some sympathy for the sh*t they're dealing with. Poor b*ggers have been top of the injury league for months. Granted we're second but we have a stronger squad to start with. Personally I'd drop Alexis too. The guy has stagnated a little bit and is well overdue a break. By all means bring him on as an impact sub if needed but, on paper, this is a good game to rest him. I'd also start Ramsey after his recent upturn in form.
I'd go with: -----------Ospina---------- Bellerin--mert--Kosc--Monreal ---------------Coq-------------- --------Ramsey--Cazorla--- Walcott----Giroud-------Ozil Subs: Szcz, chambers, Gibbs, flamini, rosicky, Sanchez, Welbeck Ozil, Cazorla and Ramsey can all rotate out wide and centrally. And Ramsey can drop deeper to sit alongside Coq if they start to apply any pressure.
Agree with a few here, we need to freshen up things and give a rest to a few players. Bring in Walcott and Rosicky for this one and see how it goes.
Wee Tomas was poorly for the Monaco game so I'd be surprised if he started. I like afcftw's team myself. Plenty on the bench if needed but should be enough to win on its own.
I like the lineup too, but we could rest Cazorla and play Ozil in the centre. Cazorla has been playing constantly and is probably due for a rest. Play Welbeck on the left.
Even though games against Newcastle are usually tough, I'm looking forward to this game, and hoping we can cause their patched up defence no end of trouble.
I really think Sanchez should be rested and Walcott start (see if he can score another classic goal, bouncing up from the turf like before!)
I'm not expecting a vintage performance from Arsenal, away days after an away trip to Europe (with us not getting the result we wanted as well) is never easy, it's like all the **** has come together for this. We're not only playing away from home after a mid-week away European game, but the away trip just happens to be the furthest bloody place up north, Newcastle is our furthest away game in terms of travel-distance in the league, so that just makes things all the more brilliant. The good news is that Newcastle don't really have much to play for, their season isn't really going anywhere at this point, so that could be a good bonus for us.
Unless it's local, don't teams who go to away games travel to their destination the day before the game? If so, then that really should not have an effect on the players. And although we have won 13/15, which is mightily impressive, we can't afford to be slipping up with Liverpool and United not far behind us. Need to remain focused. It's in our hands.
