As he's Italian I get drawn to comparing him with other italian players. People try to argue he's Prilo but he seems more Gattuso to me - that's no bad thing, they were both outstanding players!

Yes you’re absolutely right. He also has that strength and anger which gattuso had but Pirlo didn’t. Pirlo was a magician. Gattuso was a warrior. That’s what Tonali is.
He's very very good. Best in Italy is tricky to judge, their keep is excellent. I would add that Alessandro Bastoni has looked outstanding in the handful I've games I've seen him and probably better than any defender we have in the Premier League. They've got half a great team but the issue for Italy is they've also got some filler.
I'm not sure, I think I just watch games thinking we're gonna be **** , and don't realise we're good these days. We've been **** for so long that I just see the errors. If you get out of that mindset, we're actually really good, we played very well throughout the team.
First half I agree but second half we controlled the game. Isak in the media is going to get all the credit. But that’s fine. Let him. We know our strength is in our midfield. Gordon is world class. Murphy (I hang my head in shame) is practically irreplaceable because he’s playing so well.
