Still tight at the bottom, anything can happen.

Think I'd prefer them to stay up for the derby games rather than to go down for the bragging rights.

Derby games have become a nightmare <wah>
But to be fair, even if we'd had the better of them of late I'd still love it, love it if they went down.

Normally when a new manager goes to SAFC hey have a period of revival followed by a period of slump.
I have a gut feel that they are far from out of the mire just yet and.. if he slump does happen... they could be up to their nuts in it.

I think they are now mate. Those three away games against Citeh, Arsenal and Liverpool are a huge challenge and they still have the two cups to take their eye off the ball further. Their squad will be tested to the full over the next month or so. This could all end in glorious disaster for the mackems

Mackems are going down. I've been saying from the start. No one survives being bottom at Christmas. They've got two games vs City coming up, Browns out for 3 games, they're going to ship 10 goals in the next two games. Their home form vs other relegation candidates is too poor to survive. Doesn't matter if you can compete and draw vs the big boys at times, if you can't win must win games at home you're doomed.

I'm seriously contemplating going to Sunderlands last game vs Swansea and sit in away end. Look at their fixture list, it's brutal. If they get 4 points out of the next 7 games they can count themselves lucky.

They have must win games vs WBA and Crystal Palace coming up, if they can't get 4 points out of those two I think they're gone.

Gutted to be missing the game tonight.
Stuck down in Cheltenham with customers.
On the rare occasion that's happened before we've usually put in a good shift.

If they lose tonight then surely Gus should be sacked and a new, improved manager brought in to save them. <whistle>

I've got my fingers crossed, my legs crossed and everything else crossed that they are going down.

Will Gouffran and Cisse be back tonight? If they're not and Krul's out as well, it could get ugly...I'd snap your hand off now for a draw.

Last I saw, Cisse and Gouf were both still on the injured list, along with Tiote, Debuchy, Colo & Bigi - plus Remy still suspended. Having Krul out too would be a massive blow.

This! We always seem to have a flurry of injuries and suspensions at the same time, especially when it gets to this time of year. It can make a great season become OK, a good season become average and an average season become very worrying.

Loic Remy serves the third and final game of his suspension while Cheick Tiote, Fabricio Coloccini, Mathieu Debuchy, Papiss Cisse, Yoan Gouffran, Gabriel Obertan and Gael Bigirimana are all reported to be injured.

Tim Krul seems OK after an injury scare at Chelsea.

Not many left to choose from.

Erik Lamela, Sandro and Vlad Chriches are out for Spurs.

So Gouf and Cisse both back for this one - and Krul is playing.

And Debuchy too - thought he was injured.
