    A few snippets from NUFC.com

Tim Krul and Fabricio Coloccini remain out, while there's a doubt over Hatem Ben Arfa following his return to action on Thursday after a four month absence.

The omission of Papiss Cisse from the party that travelled to Russia allowed him extra time to recover from a recent illness and there's optimism he'll play some part. Both Davide Santon and Jonas Gutierrez were rested in midweek and are available to play on Sunday.

Defender/bully Robert Huth is suspended but there could be a place for Michael Owen, assuming that he didn't pick up an injury during his recent toe-curling appearance on Family Fortunes.

Owen's last outing on Tyneside came as an 80th minute substitute for Manchester United in April 2011, when he later tweeted his disappointment at the abuse-laden reception that he received. The poor little lamb.

    Cisse to score in a 1-0 win @ 20/1

Think this is a bit of a non story. Hatem will be there tomorrow although I don't think he'll be on for 90 mins.

That'd probably require a decent corner. 1,000,000/1 sounds more like it.

Wigan beating Everton 3-0 at the moment in the FA Cup... Hope they get it all out of their system before next weekend!

Anyone else annoyed that the game clashes with the England rugby match AND Mother's Day?
(Likely to be out, missing both games) <grr><grr>

Really? I was hoping that any clashes would be minimal so I could watch all of one and most of the other.

Now I don't know what to do!

I could go splitscreen, but then I run the risk of the OH's wrath for stealing all the bandwidth again.

Pardew will ruin the game and we will struggle in this fixture.

It's battle of the long ball and we are not good at it despite Pardew playing it every game

I really think if we're gonna win it's gonna be a 1-0 squeeze. We really need to keep out scrappy chances from Stoke.

We really need the win, especially when you look at the results today. Pardew doing a cracking job and we are playing some nice stuff. Hopefully we can work Stoke around. Pardew has been tactically brilliant lately and he has done quite well against Stoke. I fancy a good win but it won't come easy.

A win tomorrow and it will look very different. But we do NEED that win to be comfortable.
