To be fair, the refs did an acceptable job. We were very poor in the 2nd half of the 2nd half... Count ourselves lucky to escape with 3 points at the end. Also, credit to Steve Harper for a great performance today keeping Norwich at bay. Tough luck Norwich, hopefully Bassong isn't out for too long.

Thank god we were not playing a decent team today, granted we were not at full strength but with the lack of back up we have that was always going to vs the issue. It's going to be a long season in which I can't think we have had one decent performance,

We can play as well as we want but without goals we are staring relegation in the face.

Why a quality striker wasn't bought I'll never know. Was just talking to my dad who jokingly said we should have bought Falcao..I said what for 60m??..his response was well it's worth that staying in the league this season. I asked if we still go down? Sell him on was his response.

Now obviously he was exaggerating with us signing a player like Falcao for that kind of money but why we didn't punt 6-8m on a genuine class forward is beyond me..it was clear throughout pre-season we needed one.

Tiote was like that spoilt kid who doesn't want anyone else to play with 'his' ball. I thought he was going to get sent off tbh.

I agree, Hughton has you organised and you don't sit back for the draw, you deserved a share of the points today. As mentioned above, if you had an 8-10 million pound striker (Demba) you may very well have even won that game.

Good luck for the rest of the season, hope Hughton gets time to show he can more than cut it at this level.

This ^^ Harps might be 64 years old but did a grand job, kept us in the game 2nd half

Missed most of 1st half ...Norwich played well from what I saw. (didnt realise Bassong was injured hope not too bad)

You dont win games if you dont score goals. For all our possesion and puff and wind we didnt deserve anything from the game. I think a win is coming, but we must be more clinical up front and create better chances for our forwards.

Newcastle were nothing to write home about and seemed happy to cling onto a 1-0 narrow victory. Got lucky we couldnt find our equaliser. They will struggle to emulate last season with such lack of control of the game at home.

I will put clarity in my first post ref decent side which came across a tad harsh, when I ment decent side ie top 6 your arsenals ,man city, spurs. Norwich are a good outfit who play good football on the deck and as CH is now there I want them to do well. We can't perform that badly and expect to get three points, why pardew changed a winning formula from last season by trying to play baa and cisse uptop just to save face.

Despite how well we think we played, the BBC stats would suggest we were easily 2nd best

    Possession
    NUFC 57% NCFC 43%

    Shots
    NUFC 16, NCFC 8

    On target
    NUFC 8, NCFC 3

    Corners
    NUFC 4, NCFC 5

Other than corners we were well behind the Toon. Must admit, it didn't look that big a margin during the game, looked a bit more even in terms of possession that that.

    Ignore 2010TOPS.

Anybody who doesn't think Norwich are a good side are bonkers, they got some real talent there.
