Agree, he had a good game.

3 points and we have now won 3 games on the trot so happy, but we should have finished Norwich off but we didn't and allowed them to come back at us.
Shola was great today a player reborn <doh>

Took his foot off the pedal a bit, didn't want to make CH feel too bad.

Shame he couldn't of grabbed himself a goal with that tasty drive on the run. Him and remy seem to have a bit of an understanding. Think they played well together. He definitely gassed out in the second half though.

The trouble with starting Shola is I'm not sure he can last 90 mins any more ( god help him during the World Cup in heat of Brazil) which means you got to use 1 sub on him. Could come back and bit us on the arse.

What is it with half time breaks? In the 2nd half, not for the first time, we took our foot off the pedal and sat back letting Norwich boss 2nd half and but for some crap finishing we could have been punished.
Thought Remy very greedy on one attempt with Cisse standing unmarked right in front of goal. I also thought Cisse very unlucky to be flagged offside when he was clearly in line.
Still it's 3 points and that's all that matters and to make my day 5under1and are bottom of the league.

Had your forwards put their shooting boots on it could have been a different story. One or two good chances went begging and the stats revealed you had more possession than us.
Hoping CH pulls you clear of the bottom 3 as he's a real gent and a man of integrity.

Very kind words Gordon but Hughton has acquired a pretty decent squad but is too frightened to put out 2 forwards or let the team express themselves, we play a rigid defensive formation with panicky keeper and defense, if we get in an attacking position we crap our pants away from home since 2011.
The only gloss is Leroy Fer and he was **** today too.
At home we may give you a game i hope ...

Sadly, that is not enough to win football games.
If it were, then we'd be in the top 4

From the highlights reel Ameobi looked genuinely superb, was he that good for those who watched the whole 90?

Ameobi slipped off it 2nd half. Tired like a lot of them. Internationals had clearly taken it out of them. Shola is used to a break, and has struggled to play so many games in short time periods. I think Pards has it right with him, 45-60 giving what he can. Certainly in form.

Only thing I think Pards got wrong was changing the defence around, we looked shakey all day.

The mackems are having a right old whinge at the ref over Brown's red card. Were they moaning when the ref failed to send off Larsson after he studded a citeh player in the shin a fortnight ago? Of course they weren't, the hypocrites <cheers>

To be fair I think Newcastle seem to always take their foot off the pedal when we are leading at home against that we expect to beat, think that was a key factor in why Hull beat us.
