I will watch the game, but I don’t really care to be honest. Don’t believe it will be any kind of spectacle unless Man united really turn up and play well. We play absolutely sh!te football, however saying all that, I would love it if we beat them.
Since Carver has been appointed all I've wanted is him to lose, im of the opinion that if he does get as many as 3 or 4 wins, he will be given a 4 year contract. I really can't continue to watch if that is the case. He really does infuriate me, he claims to be a Geordie and have so much love for the club, but if he any an ounce of self-respect or love for the club, he would tell MA where to stick his job. If Carver really believes he is the best person to run this club, he really is more deluded than I initially thought. I have conceded to the fact that he probably will be the next permanent manager of the team though :(
Prediction 0-3 away win, Mike Williamson at fault for all three goals.

Hahaha. I just saw a stat that we havent lost a game mehdi abeid has started? Something like 7 wins and 1 draw. I didn't really think he was that good last week, but I guess he doesn't give the ball away right in front of our back 2, so that might have something to do with it.

I genuinely think this might be an ok match.
Good player. Him, Colback and Sissoko in the middle would be as good as a team like us could hope for..

Just read his pre-match. I'll say this for JC, at least he talks about taking a game to the opposition, it was nice to read some hyperbole about needing a plan to "take them apart", rather than what we worry about. I quite like that. End of the day, he's here for at least four years, so might as well look for positives.

As most know I am massive Abeid fan. Him and Colback are a superb pairing, Sissoko looks a different player when they play. Abeid is great with the ball, but has also developed into a bit of a beast physically. It is very you see happen to Yaya what did when Abeid came on. Toure looked a bit perplexed. When you have him and Colback you can control a midfield possession wise.

He must be first choice now. The crazy thing with our team is we are not that far away from having a half decent side.

    Krul

    Janmaat
    New Centre Half
    New Centre Half
    Santon

    Abeid
    Colback
    Sissoko

    Aarons
    Cabella
    Ayoze

That's quite an exciting young side. If you then had the likes of Darlow, Colo, Lascelles, Satka, Dummett, Kemen, Anita, Tiote, SDJ, Cisse, Roberts, Obertan, Armstrong, as back up, you have a proper squad.

I see no point in having Gouf, Jonas, Willo, Saylor, Sammy, Haidara, Ferguson, Marveaux, Vuckic, Riviere, Ferrerya

Not sure on Raylor, Good, Bigi, Campbell, Streete, Mbabu. I'd probably flog Tiote and Anita too to be honest. Anita is handy to have around as a utility player.

Of course we'll flog Santon, not replace him because we have Dummett/Haidara, not sign any centre backs, and continue selecting Gouf, Riviere, Willo, Sammy just to ensure we never really progress.

Bang on, Trev. What I like about the formation is that by using Perez instead of Cisse we will encourage a style of play more befitting the 4-3-3/4-5-1 we always seem at our best playing.

Sadly, your last point is also bang on.

Haidara & Cabella now missing from tomorrows game. Aarons hopeful of being back for Everton game ( believe it when I see it )

Now that I have dropped our ongoing legal proceedings I can also admit that I am a big Abeid fan. I actually think that we might get something out of this as long as we avoid conceding an early goal.
And on the subject of Carver as permanent manager I really hope not but if he does get it it will be a final indictment of the lack of ambition the club has. He doesn't look like a Premier League manager - he looks like the guy who should be putting the cones out, not holding press conferences.

Ffs I assumed Perez was dotted at weekend for a rest, not so that the new Shola could start again!

I honestly think were resting ayoze for the more winnable game at the weekend. Not the worst idea in the world to go all out for the winnable ones.

Maybe, but against Man U I'd rather have another midfielder than Riviere if Perez is being 'rested'. <ok>
