Gordon on track to be fit enough to return for this one apparently. Expected to start on the bench though.
Could be seen as a good night in France for us last night - less time to prep for us, a slog of a game , confidence shot, need to prepare for the game next week more now. Howay the lads!
Barnes gave the ball away quite a bit vs Leicester. He's done OK, but I'm not buying into the notion he's been playing great. I suppose he will improve more as his confidence improves and Gordon will probably become the utility player for at least a few games.
Spot on. He needs a run of games to get to full speed - he's getting there but still providing contributions crucially. Next season think with the fixture list in Europe we'll see the best of him getting regular games week in week out.
He's playing at lower league level and doing well. I get the impression he has realised what he could have been. I hope he's turned a corner.
I saw that video and honestly found him quite smug and thinking that he was above them and using it as a stepping stone to bigger things. He's 34 and playing for Kettering Town. He hadn't played for 2 years previously, and when he was playing previously he was at Borham Wood. I really don't think he's turned a corner, like Joey Barton he's constantly getting into trouble, legal and otherwise....although the difference is Barton actually had a decent career, Ranger just threw his away.
Wow just watched the highlights on the Man U game last night, Onana, **** me. Shots and crosses in for Sunday, the rest of their team is dire, but that flapping lunatic in goal is the cherry on top
First one is so poor, a bit unsighted/distracted by the players in front of him but should be bread and butter to just push that away. Second one is a bit more difficult, as its 13 yards and smashed at him initially but still you'd hope for better...
Any decent keeper has to deal with that second one, the shot is hard yes, but it's literally straight at him. He needs to be taking the power out of it, and at the very least diverting it to somewhere more safe. It was a great chance that initially looked to have been fluffed cos the guy booted it straight at Onana. Just get in plenty of powerful shots at Onana on Saturday, we should score plenty, he'll be blocking, flapping and fluffing all over the place.
Pope's had a few, it's pretty standard for keepers. Man U fans are like a verruca on their clubs foot.
Sick but should be ok Sunday. I've always found that hard to understand because if you're sick you can't put a timescale on it. If he's off it must be something pretty nasty though, so hopefully he gets well in time.
