Pardew tactics spot on today, always seem to be set up better to play the bigger teams like Chelsea and Liverpool, rather than in the games we expect to win like against Sunderland and Hull. Cabaye man of the match today for me.

Cabs had a good game and worked hard off the ball too.

 

Shearer has had elocution lessons. His vocal tones are all over the place.

 

I think it`s more of a case that Sunderland and Hull are local games where tactics go out the window and game plans are torn up in the first 5 mins. Passion can count as an extra man at times and i don`t think the foriegn players fully understand the local rivalry`s in our league.

 

Shout out to Sissoko for yesterday. Thought he really got us started with his sheer power. He's been off lately but he really dragged himself out of it yesterday and bust his lungs out. He had nothing left towards the end.

I thought we were unlucky vs the mackems. We didn't play well, neither did they, it was a bad game and they won by scoring an absolute blinder when we were looking more likely. That's what you call a sucker punch. It happens. But we were untop of themackems the whole second half.

The problem is we're not exactly prolific with scoring and when it's hectic stuff we usually end up on the losing side.

 

Looks to me like our strongest front 6 is finally sorted. Midfield 5 from left to right of Gouff, Anita, Tiote, Cabaye and Sissoko. Remy up front.

 

It was good to see Sissoko finally put a shift in. Has to do it for more than one week of course.

 

Good to see everybody playing as a team. Strength in depth.

It's a good camera but no bells or whistles.

Couldn't even make a guess at how many pics I've taken over the years, I've always had a camera by my side. Got my first one at a very early age.

Sorry but that's the 1st I've heard of Newcastle v Hull being a local game, nothing to do with that one, think we were so comfortable 1st half we got lazy that day.

 

Also the quality of their winner isn't something we can compensate for.

Still think we were finding our identity at the time, in hindsight. I think it's taken Pardew too long to sort that out, but we now appear to be getting there. We're not alone - having watched Cardiff and Man City on the same weekend, you'd never imagine in a million years Cardiff could beat them. It's taking Pellegrini a bit of time to find the right combo on the road. Moyes/Man U same. Ridiculous to think that if things had gone to form (sunderland/Hull victories instead of defeats), we'd be on 20 points. Fine lines with NUFC at the moment; could have even sneaked a draw v Everton if we hadn't hit the post. 21 points "nearly" ours. And we're protesting about a lack of ambition.

 

Back to the game, I see the Ronnie made Wiliamson the star man, can't really argue with that, he was as solid as a rock and didn't put a foot wrong..

His best game yet.

 

Granted but you could say we would only have expected to get 2 points off Cardiff and Villa rather than 6, beating Chelsea was unexpected and Suarez did hit the bar at the end of the Liverpool game, so could have gone the other way as well. Think we're where we deserve to be and probably performed as expected.

 

I notice a few of the Hull boys were calling our friends South of the water 'Southern Geordies'.
