Come on lets be honest here. Its not just one mistake is one match, he is worth at least a goal a game to the opposition.

 

Do feel we did not take them to the sword when we scored and feel that we could have pressurised them a little more, Shame as we looked a completely different side in the last 20 minutes. Hope this has not taken too much out the lads for Sunday.

 

I understand what you're saying but come on, Williamson's touch and extra slow turning circle was all too apparant again tonight, he just isn't good enough. Santon has his faults but at least offers something positive to the team.

 

Thought he did an ok job tonight bar a couple of long balls. He's not the reason we are going out of this tie, our defence from the first leg is. Simple

 

Final thoughts/ not good enough how can we expect to beat benfica with the likes of Williamson in the troop no chance.

Don't think mentally this will effect Sunday maybe physically but how good did Benny look when he came on

A shame tho that all 4 goals we conceded could have been prevented

I don't know what we're all whining about. Like a few people have already said, we lost this game in the first leg, a game where Williamson never starred in (fortunately). I think we can all be proud of the team in Europe, we we're ruled out from the group stages yet we made it to the last 8 (EIGHT) in the competition. Remember that before you slag the team off!

 

What was the crack with cabaye today?

 

Poor first half when we were under pressure, much better second half when we had players on the pitch who could retain possession. He needs good players around him to perform

 

On Sunday I noticed him grab his hamstring and limp a couple of times, thought he did it tonight too. He was struggling to say the least
