Drop Ben Arfa for Anita and you will have your strongest side to play Arsenal.

Control of the midfield is essential in all games but especially against Arsenal. We need to win the battle in midfield.

Playing Ben Arfa usually means we play most of the time with ten men. A good example of this is the first 30 minutes against Stoke.

Use Ben Arfa as an impact sub.

 

Changes for me. Learn from previous short turnarounds. Obviously it is slightly skewed by us not expending masses of energy yesterday because of the sendings off but I still think we need to freshen the team.

442. I don't see any value in trying to contain them. Start quickly and have a real go at them. Hope the fresh legs can get us ahead of the game. The key one to learn from is Sissoko for me. Last time in the short turnaround he coped worst. Looked paggered and couldn't pass for toffee aswell. Bounced back once refreshed. Anita looks a strange choice out right but he can play anywhere.

Having the likes of HBA, Sissoko and Remy on the bench as impact could be useful once both sides tire as a result of crazy xmas schedule

 

I don't think Ben Arfa was responsible for the structure and positioning of our central midfielders and the lack of support afforded to people like, erm, Ben Arfa.

How can these odds be right? Giroud and Walcott both to score is 6/1 yet for Walcott alone is also 6/1?

One is for first goalscorer and the other is for both to score in any order and regardless of who else scores. Makes sense at those odds.

 

This is how I'd set the team up. We need to stifle them in the middle.
Id switch Anita or Gouff for HBA or Shola depending how the game panned out.
