    Which makes it even more galling. SJP is becoming a massive billboard promoting Sports Direct.

    You'd presume it's helping pay him back the debt the club owes him. Thing is, if he hadn't touched the original lettering and his logo wasn't such a hideous monstrosity this really wouldn't be so bad.

    For every sign he puts up we should charge £1million per season, that 200 million loan would be gone this year, and hopefully Ashley will **** off once that's paid back as well.

    I'm being optimistic here, but do we have any confirmation its real? I sit behind those hoardings, but do we really have the electronic board and the Barclays, Northern Rock etc at the same time? There's a shady outline of the ED which is either the impression left by the old letters or evidence of photoshoppery. Fingers unrealisticly crossed...

    I cannot wait for Mike to be bought out. There should then be a competition between fans to see who can rip down the signs!

    Gonna get alot of stick of some away fans this season when they visit lol. Although, an all round "Sports Direct is ****ing ****" chant wouldnt go a miss

    They should let us ****ing tear them all down the first match day. It's nice to think Ashley will, at the worst, die in my lifetime and then we'll HAVE to get a new owner.

    Is there a Sports Direct shop in Newcastle? If there is why not go down there and tape a huge NEWCASTLE UNITED banner over the front of the store.

    They said identical lettering, yet more false statements. They've made the font and style the same as the Sports Direct logo so they look linked, like we're one in the same which makes me sick.

    I hope to God they kept the original lettering so when that fat ****'s gone we can put the proper sign up again.
