I'd like to keep him, but if we got like 4-5m for him and could get in a decent replacement then I wouldn't be too upset. He is a player who is going to leave for free if we don't so....it's a question of whether we can afford to not take that kind of money.....which when you think about it we can't.
I think one of mapps' most amazing attributes is how much height he gets - 'leaping like a salmon' springs to mind.
The latest from the club, via WO. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/9499334.Dyche_update_on_Mariappa_situation/
I've heard that Mariappa has handed in a transfer request. Also heard that after yesterday a lot of Premier League clubs are enquiring about Sean Murray. Also quite strangely heard that Watford have stopped gym work and are only focusing on the pitch. Apparently it can dent player's development.
After Friday, I guess I lot of them parasite agents will be looking for London Colney on their Pratt Navs....
Arsenal now interested?? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...al-watch-Adrian-Mariappa-Watford-v-Spurs.html erm. ..can't see him in that team.. ??? Paper talk...
Not at all sure he is that standard. In my view based on not too many matches.... I can't see him as commanding a place in any of the top half of the prem clubs. As others have said, last season, not sure he was even that good.
He can defend. That alone qualifies him for the Arsenal team. We're talking about a club that we would fancy our chances of scoring against.
