It's hardly comparable because there isnt a major, unpopular change going on there but if they wanted to change it to Humberside Communications, I wouldn't be pressurised into commenting in support of it as it'd be nothing to do with me. If I was forced to comment then of course I'd be diplomatic and polite. I've no problem with the new guy doing that, I just find it irritating and embarrassing that he has to. He'll be employed by the club which as we know is Hull City Tigers Ltd. But no other clubs staff have to use the business name. It's bullshit. There's references to Hull City Tigers all over the place. It's obviously just Allam flexing his muscles saying that if he can't change the playing name he'll use the business name wherever possible.
But please, feel free to list off all the amazing talent we have offered to the rest of this footballing nation currently prospering within the Football League. Better yet, remind me who in our squad are both from our youth set up and good enough at this/championship level.
Yes, but he said FC not Ltd so it was the playing element he was told to say it about. It's not even done in a subtle way, if I was a football coach from elsewhere and I'd got a job here I'd just be calling us Hull when I was letting people know. Even if it was a Manchester club it'd only be Man U or Man City rather than some 4 part name.
Brucey, where are all the young players in Hull? There's too many chimney pots for there not be!!! He's got a cracking turn of,phrase brucey
