Quiet night in with the OH watching endless repeats on TV and hoping that 17 yo son doesn't get into trouble pretending that he's actually 18 while out with his mates for the evening Drinks-wise, despite working for a spirits company and having a garage full of vodka, I'm on soft drinks only as I want to be up promptly for a long bike ride ahead of our clash against the Swans (probably the only couple of hours before the match that I won't be worrying about it!!)
The issuing of tickets for the fireworks in Central London tonight could prove to be a mistake. Tickets have been sold on for 10-15 times face value, but entry will only be allowed with proof of identity of the name on the ticket.
Just back from Hobbit3.....overstretched imho. But animation and CGI. excellent....( vested interest now)....Big Mac and chips....cold.!!!!..glad I am on a diet from tomorrow... Now on Savignon Blanco like Stan....MrQPRBeth....off to bed soon...don't like new year....so roll on Wilko Johnson. Xx
Yes, tickets for fireworks is a big faux-pas, a great idea that has now been bolloxed by BoJo and his cronies. I wonder whether there'll be trouble with gate-crashers?...
The late Mickey Rooney also had a small part. I never liked it that much though. I like old films that I have seen about 5 times before
A few glasses of Prosecco with Mrs Nines. No parties for us this year, it's a nightmare trying to get home. We did consider having one indoors again but some feckers just don't know when to go home.
The wine has been finished just left enough to do the jus for the duck that is to be cooked tomorrow......MrsTR has gone to bed and I've just made a cup of tea and looking forward to watching jools holland later. This is all terribly middle aged! !!!
Not a bad choice there ole chap although I'd personally try as a mixer in the first instance. You may find you can ditch the blood pressure tablets as this drink will keep you running at an even temperature. For me, the old Makers Mark Bourbon and cola is my choice, come hail rain or sunshine.
I was really looking forward to the third Hobbit installment but ended up thinking Peter Jackson did to that what Michael Bay did to Pearl Harbour. Disappointed.
After Mrs Turkish's recent episode we actually saw new year in with a nice cup of coffee, and to be truthful it was actually a revelation to actually "SEE" the new year in this time through unclouded eyes rather than the usual beer goggled blurred and noisy way we normally do it. A HAPPY HOOPED NEW YEAR TO ALL.
