Funny that Ristac quite clearly remember orta saying TC has a say in signings, and we are talking about grown men here not Leeds u12s to let anybody who's not pulling their weight carry on without some home truths is harming all the squad time for them to man up or fook off
We've done that one to death though, it's clear for everyone to see that Orta makes the signings, the players were being signed and spoken to before Thomas arrived. Yes I would imagine Thomas is consulted, it would go something like Orta handing him a dossier on a player and saying we are thinking of signing him, what do you think, would he be a valuable addition? Thomas replies yes
What gets me about this Twitter account or tweet is the insinuation that we were not playing well, you then read the next tweet down and it reads: "Not a great first 45 but we've had a couple of decent chances and 8 shots in total. Too many gaps appearing, but we've defended very well. Forest yet to register a shot on-target or complete a single pass into our box. Intensity needs upping a notch or two. So our midfield was poor? The midfield that prevented Forest getting a single pass into our box? Couldn't make it up...
Funnily enough I actually enjoyed the game. Can think of one, possibly two real chances Forest created but maybe six for us (including mainly Jannson) chances from corners and free kicks. Wasn’t a champagne performance from us sure but I would give most players a 7 apart from 8’s for Hernandez and Lees (sorry, I mean Cooper) and 8.5 for Saiz. 5 for Berardi I’m afraid, if that is showing what he can do at right back, he’s correct, we need a left back and Ayling is miles better on the right and 6 for Anita. Must have written his own Wiki page if it says he came through the ranks at Ajax, has the first touch of a rapist. Would also say, fair play to Forest, 6 home grown players today and I thought they were very refreshing. Honest in the tackle and tried to keep the ball alive all game. Not enough quality to threaten at the top but I would watch them again.
He played one game before his injury which we won and five between his injuries. One loss to Wolves, one draw with Villa and three wins. What more do you think he should have done to stop our fall in form exactly???
Really balanced assessment Marcos. ^^^^ Bridcutt looked ok in midfield but we now have better options, but would you take Lichaj back at left back? I thought he looked very good today, uncompromising and experienced.
You're right, thinking about it - sign him up! He's getting a right slating from the Leeds massive on social media so he must have done ok.
Rich, possibly your best ever post. Very, very insightful. Quite jealous, as I personally can't do assessments like that from watching on telly. I can agree because I was there & able to assess myself. I also agree with your TC comments too. Spot on.
Glad it wasn’t just me that saw it that way I read the comments by Marcos, almost identical apart from I thought Anita was okay and I think Marcus feels a little less generous (not knocking, just accepting we see things differently). I look forward to reading the thoughts of those who attend regular games and who are honest in their assessment, I hope yourself, LCW and Marcos continue to supply us “armchairs” with how it really is although Sky have been kind to us again this season
Actually didn’t think Anita was bad, just noticed three or four times his first touch was five yards, too far at this level. Maybe just a little match rusty.
