Agree with everything you've put milky just knew we were going to struggle to beat em today. Thought ref was poor today but that's no excuse we should have taken at least one of our chances. Listened to TC talking to popey on the way home and I realise he can't tell us re potential transfers but a bit more honesty like yes I would like to bring in players rather than this i don't know anything **** he spouts. I think the not knowing what our intentions are is starting to cause a lot of frustration in the crowd.
TBF, Nick, I'm sure TC is dying to be open & honest, but has been told to shut it. If I was Orta, that's what I'd do too, but more from a perspective of possibly buggering up a move by getting the prices hiked etc., rather than what I suspect is more of a 'do not set expectations or try to leverage us' perspective.
Fair point jock it's just so frustrating seeing us struggle to score and knowing we've just dropped 5 valuable points in two games. We need someone to lead from the front and make some sort of statement of intent. Feels like we're treading water at the moment.
I was surprised at O'Kanes comments and some of those on here as I thought we were by far the better team, a great save from a Hernandez shot, Roofe hitting the bar when he should really have scored and Roofe again not playing the ball back to Saiz it could have been 3-0 and that's before Lasogga failing to get enough power into a headed shot albeit a tricky one from a looping ball in. It just shows how we all have a differing opinion... What have we learned, well in my opinion: 1) Ayling is better than Berardi on the right 2) Hernandez, Saiz, (Alioski on the right) is the best combination, we were weaker when Roofe replaced Alioski on the right 3) Lasogga is either too slow or just not fit enough, he doesn't fit into our style of play 4) Alioski needs to remain on the right, not the left ever again. 5) Sacko should never have been given a contract 6) Anita is an okay left back The understanding between Alioski and Saiz was great on more than one occassion, it threw the front line out the minute Alioski came off and Roofe moved over. Felix did a couple of decent saves and when you compare his distribution to that of the Forest keeper it was pretty outstanding, the Forest goalie gifted us oodles of cheap possession. Not sure about our midfield not good enough comments, I count Saiz, Hernandez and Alioski as part of our midfield and they created chances, O'Kane and Phillips snuffed out a lot of their attacks, it was the strikers that let us down today and a couple of poor decisions (by our attacking players). Hindsight is great and it could have easily worked, hats off to Thomas trying something different at half time but I personally felt it was a very poor move subbing Alioski for Lasogga, it should have been a straight swap if anything. Did anyone else notice the very glum looking Roofe at the end of the game? It looked like he was carrying the failed three points on his shoulders alone, crowd getting to him maybe? Thomas should NOT divulge any transfer targets, we're an unforgiving bunch of supporters, we would hold it against everyone should a transfer target fail to materialise, it would alert other clubs and it would harm the dressing room. Imagine saying YES we need a new keeper and a striker, you just can't do that kind of thing. Thomas is NOT the manager, he is NOT responsible for signings, he is just a coach, the questions over transfer targets should be aimed at Orta if anyone.
6 wins 4 draws one of the games is at home to a team who have not won a championship away game in 4 years ,can see us getting 6 against that london ****.
So what the fook injury did Lassoga actually have as he is plainly nowhere near fit, no wonder we send Roofe up top as first choice ffs
So Roofe hits the crossbar so he's crap, and Klitch does nothing in 7 games and he's a god, good to see you have a balanced view Doc.
