I liked Cantwell the summer after promotion. He had performed well in a relegated Norwich side and grafted for the team in defence. Since then he has stagnated a bit and not quite hit those heights again. I think the time has come and gone regarding Cantwell unless we get a really cheap deal. Then it's worth a gamble on the lad. I wouldn't be paying more than 10 million for him.
The problem in England is the prices. Norwich wanted £35m last season for Cantwell and Buendia, Max Arrons etc and remember that was the money Brentford got for Watkins and and the Algerian to Villa and WHU. Blackburn want over £30m for Ben Brereton-Diaz. Leeds will not break transfer records for Championship players
